Just out of curiousity, who else is like me and is an absolute camera/photography nut?

Think $800 for new glass is nothing? Can't wait for Canon or Pentax to update their sensor cleaning technology? Does shake-reduction get you off?

Post away...

/I'm a Pentax guy all the way.

I'm in. I do get paid for the photos I take for the magazines I write for, so I guess that makes me a pro! ;)

I shoot on a budget--Canon Rebel XSi, a couple of EF-S lenses. Nothing fancy.

Maybe you camera nuts could also post some of your work for all of us to see... I would love to see it.

I'd love to but it's going to have to wait until I get home... I have to hook up my external hard drive to my laptop to see what I have still.

I consider myself a amateur camera guy, unfortunately, I have not had time to really do much creative stuff, I have taken lots of pics for the family, bball and football games, my church, etc...

I used to love doing photography. In college I had access to a dark room so it was a hobby of mine. Haven't done it much since then but I've been looking at some cameras given that you don't really need a darkroom anymore if you use digital.

I love photography - just bought my first DSLR earlier this year and got my first prime lens for Xmas. Before that I've had a parade of point & shoots, most of which I love and still have.

My favorite subject, Max - he never complains :) These are a few of my faves - nothing as cool as Casual Fan's work, though!

I don't have too many online at the moment. Does anyone have some good suggestions for photo hosting? Been considering Flickr Pro and a few others. Opinions?

Thanks for the compliments.

Hyson, what is the benefit of paying for image hosting?

I dunno. But I've seen a lot of customization in some galleries that I don't think is possible in free hosting. In any event, it's just another option.

I recently discovered Picasa, I think it is very nice for being free, you can crop, remove red eye, change lighting, and add a lot of effects, all free!

Instead of sending a bunch of pics via email, now, I load them up on Picasa, and just send out the link to everyone..
