Isn't the term, California Nascar Fan an oxymoron? LOL

They'll have to pry my 'big screen' TV from my cold, dead, hands!

Canada Eh!
They did this 20 yrs ago with appliances I believe. It wasn't really a big deal I don't think. It's not like they're going to take your old TV and make you replace it. Its just if you have to buy a new one its gotta be energy efficent. Or thats what they're talking about up here anyways.

Yeah, the same thing happened with toilets. Now people import toilets from canada if they can. With these new "energy efficient" toilets, you have to flush 3 times as much compared to the older models that worked just fine. So you're not saving anything.

People find a way to work around these silly things.

Why do you need such a big tv anyway?

I honestly don't care. It's your money. But is your tv is taxing the power grid, then you're effecting others.

I don't live in California anymore. It's too expensive. I would tho if I could. And I would never own a TV larger than 19"

Theyll eventually make low powered TV to suit the laws. Its just evolution that rules like this get put in place, and the manufacturers find a workaround. Kind of like a Nascar team.
