4 new FM markets, and one less satellite one. Hah. I feel a little less the confident that he'll be back to Sirius, But I sure hope so. Even if it's an early time. I'm sure doing the FM show and then Sirius right after would be ideal.

Even though I dont listen to him, I feel that this will be a big loss for him because he and Howard were the guys targeted by the Federal Censorship Communication and he is going back to the edited crap on FM.

As somebody that came a bit late to the party with Bubba--I've only been listening for about 8 or 9 months now--I can say that this show has brought me just as much entertainment as the Stern show.

I really looked forward to having something live to listen to at 3pm on the long drives home.

Bubba will be missed and I will seriously consider cancelling if they can't work something out.

Bubba CAN't keep up this schedule of 2 shows so he is probably hoping for a simulcast deal that Sirius will never go for.

This sucks and will Sirius cutting as much money as possible, there is no way they'll pay up. Fuck this. I'm pissed.

If H101 played played Voodoo Child and Full Trucker Effect everyday at 3pm, 99% of the listeners wouldn't know that Bubba quit. When I hear that crap come out of my radio I either tune to H100 or turn Sirius off.

Losing Bubba will definitely suck - I'm hoping Sirius can get it together and figure this thing out. As crappy as it would be, I'd settle for simulcast testicle radio shows over losing him altogether.

That part of the equation would have to include Howard to back pedal on his stance concerning not giving away free content from a pay service...and I don't think Howard would ever pull a 180 degree turn on a subject so close to him, do you?

Miss him or not, I think you'd have to admit that he's been a real company guy. He's fought for his content on Sirius, he dug into his own pocket to pay for staff to do the show he wanted to do, the show Sirius hired him to do, and he stuck up for Howard at every turn.

I can't count myself among one of his fans, but I can recognize his worth to satellite. Let's face it...Howard got Bubba when Bubba couldn't find a job, therefore he got Bubba at a bargain basement price. Bubba raising his value by killing on his home turf in Florida turned out to be a very smart move, at least financially. It might work against Bubba in staying on satellite, but it was the right choice for Bubba.

If Sirius doesn't retain his services, it will be interesting to see if Howard/Tim remain in the basement looking for talent to replace Bubba or if they get the "tapes team" to start working on old Master Tape episodes.

Well, Howard is always about Howard - he'll say what he wants, when he wants, with whatever spin he wants. That being said, as they say on Bubba, you cut your own deal, kid. It appears that Howard is unable or unwilling to budge Sirius on the contract front, so who knows what could happen.

Canada Eh!
Man this sucks if it's true and I think it probably is. :( I can't blame him though his show is popular and he wants to get paid.
Even the way he's been talking this week, counting down the days until he's 'done' doesn't sound good.
I'm still hoping its a rumor but I'm holding out little hope at this time. :(

Bubba's show will stay on Sirius in some form. It would be worth it to do 2 hours a day for free just to plug his merchandise and appearances. He might not be on H101, but there are plenty of other channels.

Yeah, but the "edited crap" pays the bills. Sirius can't pay Bubba what he's worth, so he's going to go where they will. It's not a loss for him, it's another loss for his Sirius fans. I believe Sirius should get rid of and O and A in order to shuffle some of that money Bubba's way. I wonder if Bubba's salary comes out of the 100 mil per year Howard allocates for programming, since the show is on Howard 101. If so, that kind of explains it - No more Bubba means more marbles for Howard. Maybe now he can add that third lane he's been wanting to get :D
