Ok i know what i think is better... BPM because its not all mixed up top 40 hits (doesn't always turn a rock song into a club mix) but what do you guys think and why?

BPM way better...The Beat had so much fuckin repetition...as well as the crappy Leona Lewis and Maroon 5 remixes they played on there. I'm so glad that BPM took over for The Beat. Now they just need to stop screwing with the mix show schedules and everything will be perfect!

I think I agree with the making Top 40 songs "club" tracks being dance songs was dumb. Also, the biggest weakness for the Beat (which maybe they fixed around the end) was playing 80s New Wave tracks...When the Strobe was playing stuff from the mid to early nineties sometimes, did that make ANY sense?

Haven't gotten into BPM much yet but I sort of wish I recognized more of the songs and artists. One of the few modern dance artists I listen to is Donna Summer (and before you bash, she's already had two dance number one hits this year). The Beat played her but I don't think BPM does. I don't think it would hurt BPM to be more open to dance pop (Britney, Kylie, Donna, etc.) rather than just the more strict club stuff they play.

I have to agree about playing more Kylie Minogue and Donna Summer, I miss hearing I'm a Fire, however Britney Spears...no no no, she's classified more as Teen Pop, not dance. Pop2k and Hits 1 are where Britney Spears should stay (she shouldn't even be there in fact).

They are actually playing plenty of Britney, but I think that type of dance pop is the stuff they should play along with obscure no name euro disco acts...not Kelly Clarkson remixes!
