Bad dropouts this afternoon/evening?

Both my wife and I had huge amounts of dropouts on Sirius this afternoon/evening (so two different radios/antennas). Was fine this morning, crap this afternoon. DC area, normally satellite only (so it's not a repeater problem).

Anyone else?

Same here...Harrisburg, PA area. It was cloudy today so I kinda just attributed it to that (but it's been cloudy before and fine), but it seemed like the signal was dropping out reaaaaalllllllyyyy easy today.

I had the same experience this evening. It was fine around 3:30 PM, but has been giving me problems since. I'm in the Harrisburg, PA area. Even in the middle of an open field (no trees or structures of any type blocking the sky), it was cutting out more than it was playing. For what it's worth, it's a factory-installed unit.

Bloomsburg, PA. 2 hours north of Harrisburg. I've been without signal for past 2 hours or so.

Must be a signal/satellite issue.

God damnit!

I am in Rockford IL and also have been having signal issues. I am using a starmate 4... Glad it is not just me... CC

Same here. I found this thread by searching Sirius Signal Problems on Google. There are quite a few threads on different forums about this issue.

Just for the record, I'm in the Chicago area. Everything was fine on the way to work this morning. I was on the way home at 4:30 and I was getting 1 or 2 bars, with easy dropouts. I have my antenna on the outside of my car, so normally I have a solid, steady three bars. No repeaters, so that's not an issue.

I hope that Sirius is aware of the situation and that they have a way to fix it. I mean hopefully one of their satellites didn't get hit by space junk or something. :D

No signal here in NE (about 30 minutes south of Boston) too. Was OK till a couple of hours ago - 9-10 pm lost signal.

I was beginning to think that my signal was being affected by the trees in bloom. :icon_eek: Kinda relieved to see that I'm not the only one with dropouts this evening.

Good to hear. Was having serious dropouts between Toledo and Cleveland Weds afternoon (5-7pm). Was thinking about the P.I.A. that lies ahead to replace the antenna.

Droppin for last 2-3 weeks, thought it was trees in bloom theory too. Friend (who just got Sirius) is complaining he's getting nothing in the car. I only use at home now, and have had great signal, but it's out right now. Thank god for XM in the city, working great.

Was getting the same thing here, in Wisconsin. Thought it was weird, 2 bars of signal, it was still dropping out and acquiring signal even with full bars sometimes. Audio cuts out for 5-10 seconds no matter what. I never had these issues before so I thought I'd check here because I knew if it were a problem it'd be known here. It's still a problem tonite, it's 1:20 A.M. and howard 100 is dropping like crazy.

Still dead here in Harrisburg PA for me (as of 6:30 AM on 6/11). We haven't had a repeater here in years so this is a satellite issue. Rebooted the radio, checked my antenna, and even took my SL100 outside.

Only Wifi is working now and that means I can't record Stern!

Has anyone contacted SIRI about this? And if so, what's their response?

Problems here in Abilene TX this morning. I thought it was because of the heavy fog, until I checked this forum.
