Baba Booey's home theater

I just saw these pics for the first time. After listening to Howard bitch about it for 2 days, I was really expecting it to look much worse. Those "stools" are fine. I'd watch anything there. And even Howard's argument about Gary having to watch from a "stool" instead of a chair ONLY has merit if there are between 9 and 11 people there. Any fewer than that and everyone gets a chair. Anymore that that and there's not enough room for everyone anyway. I think Howard was just doing this for a bit. No guests for 2 days - he needed material...

I would definetaly sit in those chairs when I was eating, but it looks like the "bar" was an afterthought. A couch would be awesome up there like Howard mentioned, and maybe a coffee table.

I would rather watch the Superbowl in the monkey cave, the whole home theatre thing would make me feel like I had to sit and be quiet.

"Hey Gary, why don't you rip out the first row of the good seats and put a FERRIS WHEEL there!!!" HA HA HAAAAAAAAAA!

:p
That was hilarious.....
ahhh so funny.....

I agree with Howard 100% on the whole rant. The idea of having those stools or chairs on metal poles is RIDICULOUS. Its a "Home Theatre room" if this was someone's living room, or near a kitchen or anything like that it would make sense. But the purpose of the room is to watch movies. I couldn't care if those chairs were 1000$.

To continue on the rant, where the outlets are located? WTF..... worst was Gary said there were outlets on the other side as well. Maybe he wasn't 'getting paid' for those outlets.....

Although, you can use that room to watch sports events, but thats not the purpose of the room.

Any Howard attack on Gary with Robin and Ralph piling on and Fred doing Bababooey impersonations and Gary trying to defend himself is great fun.

Of course Gary will enjoy that room and that monster screen by himself or with his family 95% of the time and so the stupid looking empire stools or whatever don't really matter. I think what is really bugging Howard is first the unpleasant thought of having a bunch of people in the TV room and second the thought of sharing the throne chairs with anyone else. He is being true to himself. Gary, who seems to be a fairly normal person, is thrilled to have what he has.

I love when they pile on Gary like this, it's classic. Especially bringing back the "Boff, I'm in my great room!" thing. That always makes me laugh.

Can we see another "Cabbie"-like tax situation unfolding?

After listening to the 'theater' rant again last night, I remembered how the conversation eventually went to getting something free vs. getting something at a reduced price. Artie chimed in about his mancave and how he was given tens of thousands of dollars of equipment, with Howard saying getting the free equipment was the same as Booey "buying" his theater equipment at a deep discount in exchange for magazine spots.

Artie's and Booey's mancave costs are probably taxable (1099?) but what about the theater situation? It didn't sound like Booey thought it was a tax situation. Hopefully this conversation doesn't turn into an audit.

When he first said he had a bar in his home theater, I was thinking it COULD work.. but once I saw exactly HOW he did it, this doesn't work at all.. that is not even a "bar" I wouldn't say.. I mean.. it is better than what I have by all means, but I wouldn't ask for something like that

After careful consideration, I have to side with Howard. The room is just too small for a bar, period. It's not even a wet bar! Another row of seats would be better.

I used to love the "Repeat after me" segments when Booey messed up. Gary will enjoy his room a lot, it just seems a little small to me, could be the angle of the picture, but it looks like after everyone sits down it is the same hassle as a movie theater to get up and pee.

I don't get the bustin on Gary's theatre. Most of you here would give your left nut to have a sweet ass set up like that.

Sure, Howard could have something better, he could just buy a fucking movie theatre.

I would love to have a setup like that. It's pretty awesome really. I wanna play some Metal Gear solid 4 on that system.

OF course we'd like something like that. But that doesn't mean busting on gary about it isn't funny. I would take that room no problem, but hearing it get ripped on is still good radio. I hear people get made fun of all the time, doesn't mean it's not entertaining. Funny does not always = fair and sensible.

The bar and stools in the back is not a bad idea but I would change the seating and put three rows of the comfortable chairs in instead of the way it's set up now. With four chairs in each row you have no seat in the center "sweet spot" and there's no way to get to the seats on the side opposite the door without stepping over everyone in the first three seats to get to the one against the wall.
