Canada Eh!
Something needs to be done. I don't think it would be a bad idea to seperate the two of them and see how it goes.
Maybe trade with the #5 team?

If that were to happen, I will personally go down there, and shoot whoever makes that decision. There is nothing wrong with the 5 team, so please for the love of god dont wreck it.

Dex I agree.. wouldn't go to your lengths to stop it LOL. I think Lance McGrew is the answer. Terry Blount in the chat is thinking Ron Maleic who is the Car Chief for the 48.

Sorry, I just to go throw up at the thought of Tony Eury Jr. crew cheifing Mark Martin instead of Alan Gustafson. Alan is one of my favorite crew chiefs in Nascar. Depsite the fact Mark is 34th in points, they also have had 3 straight races where they had failures while running 10th, 3rd and 4th.

For Dale Jr. and the 88 team. I think they all need to have a word of prayer with each other and figure stuff out, ala the 24 team.

I like Alan, too. I was just throwing an idea out there. Please don't hurt me LOL..
Seriously though, SOMETHING needs to happen with the 88 team. They aren't performing the was they should. Atlanta was a start lets see what happens after the two short tracks coming up.

They pretty much sucked at Atlanta too. Many people got caught a lap down and that seemed to have helped the 88. That and two Lucky Dogs. Oh, that reminds me, I heard FOX was pushing to have the name changed to 'Lucky Digger'.

The term Lucky Dog came from the folk at NBC/TNT when NASCAR stopped letting the drivers race back to the caution. I think that was back in 2004...:)

Fox has resisted using that term. Why coin something that your competitors came up with. They want something they can call their own...:right:

Eury Sr. is a drill sergeant, as gruff as they come. From Race 1, he told Earnhardt, "We're doing it this way and you're doing what I tell you to do."

THAT is what needs to happen. "Shut up and drive the car!"

I could have swore it came from a Truck race where the "Free Pass" was sponsored by Aaron's and Michael Waltrip being the pitchman he is said during the broadcast "Hey so and so is the Aaron's Lucky Dog."

maybe Jr needs to take some driving lessons from Kyle Busch. Jr's problem has always been that he can't drive a loose race car and we all know loose is fast.

I still put out good info, though...:D

Dale Earnhardt Jr. can drive. He has something like 17 wins. And he's not a one trick pony. Although he's one about six plate races, he also has wins at Bristol, Richmond, Michigan, Chicagoland, Atlanta, Dover, and Texas. He's almost won at Martinsville, too, so anyone how says he can't win on flat tracks is wrong.

I'm not a Jr. fan, but I do like him. I didn't care for him at first. Then I saw a VH1 Special on him about five years ago. It changed my opinion on him. They showed a side of him you don't get to see often during NASCAR Coverage.

Having Jr. win is good for the sport. If he gets back to the basics, he'll be a winner again...:)

+1.

But that championship window is closing.

Do you know it took Bobby Allison almost 20 years to win his only title? He finished second 5 times before winning the title in 1983.

Jr. can win at least one. The just need to always contend, and the championship will come...:)

Well, maybe so......

I'm thinking of the competition level of today. Which is why I think it's never too early to be thinking of the points standing. Between the level of competition, the top 35, and the chase....

But if ever there was a time when Jr. needs to win the championship, it would be this year. Nascar needs it worse than Jr. does.
