ATW Halloween week

It's suppose to be pretty cold this time for the kids. We got lots of treats so I hope they show up

Halloween is my favorite time of year, favorite day of the year. But one thing leaves me curious. Who is still sending Halloween cards? I notice Walmart and the CVS type of retailers have a solid amount of shelf space allocated to Halloween cards. Not sure why....
Never sent one.
Never received one.
If I got one in the mail, I wouldn't feel guilty about throwing it out right after I opened it. Kinda like getting a birthday card from my insurance agent.

I sent a Halloween Card to the work staff and this year we are doing Boo Grams.
Halloween at home could be a bummer. We are expected to get snow. That just can't happen.

Since regular DRC was down, I thought I'd post my Halloween day here today. it was a very cold and snowy day, very uncommon for Halloween around here. Luckily, it stopped around 2:30pm and the sun even peaked out around 3pm. I had to shovel very fast in anticipation of the kids arriving at 5pm. Getting the water to dry out was the hardest I was even thinking about putting out a rug by the doorway. A little down the previous two years, we still had around 115 kids. I was very proud of the all the kids not letting the weather ruin their Halloween spirit. They had their gloves on but they all pursued for those treats.

That's a lot of kids considering the brutal cold.
It was unusually cold here too on Halloween, which for us meant wind chills in the 40's. We had a normal crowd of 300+ kids.

That's a lot kids, Aaron. There was one kid who dressed up as a T Rex. it took him and his Mom 10 minutes to get out of the car and another 10 minutes to straighten out his outfit and finally started down the block. 10 minutes later he came back to the car. He/she never made it to our house. He may have had the best outfit but I don't think he got many treats

We haven't had a whole lot of traffic over the last several years, so we started going out to dinner instead.

Here it was warm with gale force winds. Still not good for the kids. But our street is not conducive to trick or treating. And there's only 1 family with kids, so they probably go somewhere else.
