I will be stoked if this happens. The A's never seem to have that 1 star on their team and continually do decent. I've been an A's fan forever and hopefully this will go through.

No stars? They've had 2 MVP's on their team this decade alone (Giambi and Tejada). They've had stars on the team, problem is, Billy Beane always trades them away. Which is why this trade is pretty shocking. Usually the A's are sellers, not buyers.

While I do agree that they've had some stars, what I meant to say was they never go out and get stars. The stars that they've had have been risen up from the Oakland organization. I get real irritated when suddenly someone becomes a good talent in Oakland and Beane just let's them get away all the time.
