Listen, buddy.....Don't you dare try giving us the "war" angle trying to belittle Howard's plight.

I'll have you know that more than once Mr. Stern has encountered really bad traffic while limosining from one Hampton's social event to the next. I won't even bring up the whole "air conditioning" problem he had to endure a few years ago. And talk about noise....when Howard was married to his first wife, he had to come home each day to workers putting together projects that Howard could not do himself, which included....well, everything.:) Luckily, Howard wasn't home that much back then, and the person who had to endure most of the noise was the person who raised his daughters - the housekeeper. Poor lady.

:bigclap: Thats good shit man. Well played!

Artie is just doing what he is supposed to do....talk.

The reason the news segment was strained and Howard was talking over (or ignoring) all of Artie's responses and jokes is that Howard appears to want to get out of there. Can't blame him. Can you imagine having to talk non-stop for over four hours a day while wearing headphones?

Fixed your post.

How many radio or TV shows go past the time they're allotted? Many radio hosts actually sign off before the end of their show, then play commercials or music to fill up the rest of the time.

If Howard goes 30 minutes over, he puts in an extra two hours per week.

Don't like the show? Then why post here?

Let's see you try to do his job for over 20 years. Wake up around 3:30 AM to be at work before 5 AM. Let's see if you don't start complaining after 20 years. If someone offered you $500 million dollars with the ability to take Fridays off, you know you would.

I agree that Howard wants to get out of there fast but the stuff with him and Artie started early this morning. Also Shuli's new segment today said that Howard and Artie stayed behind in the studio for about 20 minutes and Shuli said that it looked like Howard was scolding artie.

So will Artie roll into a heroin ball and be out tomorrow or will he sit silent like a scolded child?

I love the show and I know he always goes over. I have no problem with his vacation and his Fridays off. Who wouldn't take that contract. I think his going over almost every day and the shorter commercials are great. Add up all that time and it really does make up for Fridays.

Before my injury I would have been able to get up at 3:30 am and be at work at 5am. Doing the talk show thing no I doubt it. What I did do for 15 years in the military was be up for over 30 hours at at time then sleep for 2 hours and start again. There was a lot of stuff I did that no man should ever have to do. Guess what in 15 years I never complained. When I was away from my wife and family for 2 years I never complained. They never complained. I know its a totaly different job and situation, but don't be glorifying Howards work schedule. I respect what the man does for us and yea its hell what he goes through. Just remember there are people out there that love Howard too,but don't get to work 4 days a week for 5 hours a day plus get 10 weeks vacation. He busts his ass and I do appreciate him for that and this is not a put down. Just remember A lot of Howards fans are blue collar guys that work 5 days a week sometimes 60 hours a week.

You are all talking/bantering about the show you listened to for hours.

It doesn't matter if you liked it or not. If you think Howard is a putz or not.

YOU LISTENED TO THE SHOW...YOU LIVE THE SHOW...EVERY DAY REGARDLESS...AND THEN LISTEN TO THE RERUNS....AND TALK ABOUT THEM...GOOD OR BAD.

If it wasn't here there'd be no Sirius forum, there'd be no opinions on weather you like something or not. It wouldn't exist. No banter. No opinions.

It's sad and 100% REALITY that Stern is not only a part of our lives but a MAJOR part and in some cases for over 20YEARS.

Most people can't say that about THEIR OWN PARENTS.....this is a radio show...that you are PAYING to listen to.

That's HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE.

so babbaboey is telling his story this morning about his kidney stone, which IMO I am interested in, and Artie comes in late, completely steals awaya the scene, and starts telling another lame junkie story that didn't even make any sense. He said no to pain killers whe he wasn't sober? OK.

I really do like Artie, but he needs to slow down and not try to constantly steal the spotlight.

I'll have to catch that on the reply. I know when I tuned in this morning during the Brooke interview (which I turned off, boring) he was sounding like he did yesterday.
Somethings up with him. Thats for sure.

Well him and yuko were going at it which I thought was pretty hilarious, so he was spot on during this segment

I don't know if he's on something again maybe he's just got a chip on his shoulder about something? He seemed pissy during the Brooke intervew, what I heard anyways which wasn't much I'll admit. Then he was being a dick when High Pitch Mike came in. He seems like regular Artie now though.

Artie has been sounding very "forced" lately. Like he's trying to hard. Not natural sounding. Something's up I would have to agree.

agree 100%. i like artie but he has been super annoying lately. he suddenly feels comfortable enough to inject his old stories into every interview and segment. and when he isn't doing that he's screaming out the words "FAG" or "PUSSY" or trying to shoehorn in some stupid sports reference from the '70s.
