Artie has definitely not been clicking with the show lately. Sober Artie is way less funny unfortunately.

Him egging Gilbert on and yelling over the news today was very awkward. You could feel the tension/anger from Howard. Normally that's funny when Gilbert sits in, but today it was painful.

Hate on Artie all you want and I agree with you guys, but it still beats Jackie. No stupid joke machine plugs all day long and no stupid laughs when Howard reads one of his jokes. Yea I'll take Arties bull shit.

Canada Eh!
Yeah his jokes were off today but as a whole I've prefered sober Artie. Much more alive and funny most days.

He's disrupting the flow lately. He needs to settle down, pick his spots.

The foot is size 10, the shoe is size 7 and Artie is the shoehorn.

Thought he was funny yesterday, wasn't talking over everyone like the last 3 weeks. Haven't heard all today though, just the end of the news, typical gilbert. Howard seemed peeved, which is also typical.

Artie is just doing what he is supposed to do....talk.

The reason the news segment was strained and Howard was talking over (or ignoring) all of Artie's responses and jokes is that Howard appears to want to get out of there. Can't blame him. Can you imagine having to work for over four hours a day?

Remember, anything beyond 10:00 AM should be considered a bonus.

I agree Howard makes no bones about wanting to get out of there. Even on Monday right after he came on he started talking about. Robin even comented on him saying something that soon.

I know some of you will roll your eyes at this, but I find it funny that Howard was so ready to leave last Friday. He was saying he had a headache and his ears hurt and and he had to get out of there. He should trying being in the desert for 2 two days straight with gunfire over your head. My ears hurt then and I had a real bad migrain. I never once thought about leaving. I know its not the same, but it's still funny to hear him complain knowing he's only there for at most 5 hours and works 4 days a week. I still love him though. It wouldn't be the same if he didn't bitch and complain.

I agree that Howard wants to get out of there fast but the stuff with him and Artie started early this morning. Also Shuli's new segment today said that Howard and Artie stayed behind in the studio for about 20 minutes and Shuli said that it looked like Howard was scolding artie.

It was obvious that Howard was pissed today. Nothing to do with getting out of there early either. I knew he was gonna give him a talking to.

I was laughing the whole time. I love it when Him and Gilbert just blow up with nonsense.

Listen, buddy.....Don't you dare try giving us the "war" angle trying to belittle Howard's plight.

I'll have you know that more than once Mr. Stern has encountered really bad traffic while limosining from one Hampton's social event to the next. I won't even bring up the whole "air conditioning" problem he had to endure a few years ago. And talk about noise....when Howard was married to his first wife, he had to come home each day to workers putting together projects that Howard could not do himself, which included....well, everything.:) Luckily, Howard wasn't home that much back then, and the person who had to endure most of the noise was the person who raised his daughters - the housekeeper. Poor lady.

I thought it was good when Artie started needling the Lou Bellera guy during the Playboy evaluations. I can understand why Howard quieted down Artie, but I wish he would have let it go on...it was getting pretty heated.

I do agree with the general theme of this thread though...Artie was extremely verbose today, even before Gilbert arrived.

Hey Now

I only got to listen to about 15/20 minutes of the show today and was lucky enough to hear 2 callers rip artie a new one. Seems Howard isnt the only one who thought artie was being an azz.
