Will Heroin use help him loose weight?

Heroin addicts who can afford to eat are often fat, because the addiction makes them crave sweets, especially chocolate. Eric Clapton, in his reclusive heroin addict years, consumed a diet of basically heroin and chocolate, and blew up like a balloon. See his fat addicted face in this concert shot from Derek and The Dominoes Live for an example:

It would be great if Jackie was back on the show and he had to walk out like twice before the end of the show for contract negotiations. They would have him on a 6-month cycle.

I haven't heard the news but I'm sure Artie was missed during it, that's where he shines. However, I loved the Joan Rivers interview and I'm sure Artie would have been yelling over Howard the whole time.

F Jackie. If he is so good, where are all the joke cunt threads?

Artie has been a large part of why the Stern show is better than ever. If he croaks, sure he can be replaced, but the guy is funny as shit.

You have to be really "tired" to fall asleep in the green room. Looks really comfy, no ?

"Bank on the junk" still kinda makes sense.

Yes, 'Bank on the Junk', the original working title to McCartney's 'Band on the Run'.

In the past SBS threads concerning the "tired and huddled mass yearning to be free", I felt that Artie's problem of falling asleep while at work was anything but radio gold. And like some of the others in this thread I mentioned that it would be interesting to get the Jokeman back on board as Artie's replacement.

I don't care that Howard and/or Robin and/or Fred have vowed not to work with Jackie again, turning 180 degrees on a topic or idea this far into their career would not be new territory for them at this point; see the recent example of supporting terrestrial radio on Howard 101.

I think that since the announcement from Howard that his fans could go and fuck themselves, Howard has been putting in a lot of burned calories trying to make his show funny again. They haven't made a bad show thus far in 2009. If this was how they would have gotten out of the gate in 2006, who knows where they would be today.

I don't expect the thirty year old Howard these days, but so far the one that's 55 is a lifetime better than the one of 52, 53 and 54, so why not bring back the Jokeman. It would be a nice full circle to a legendary career for Mr. Stern.

It's weird, a year ago, I didn't think Jackie coming back would ever be a possibility, and it seemed dumb, But now, as Artie keeps slipping and it seems likely that at some point before the contract ends that he will not be with the show, I find myself seeing Jackie coming back. I do think it would mix things up a lot, and really make the show something else, not what Sirius listeners may be used to. it's a different dynamic. And I can see Howard going for it, if Artie leaves. Maybe not right away, but I think since Jackie is in the fold, it's sort of a setup to him appearing in his old role at some point, even if its fora tiny bit.

The same place all the artie thread will be the day after he leaves his 4 day a week plug opportunity.

Out of sight out f mind, and I suspect that 8 years after artie is gone he will not get half the mentions Jackie does. JMO

Great. We should start the Artie "Out of sight, out of mind" campaign today.

You go first.

Do people really get so annoyed that they need to invoke the 'ignore' function on an Internet message board? I mean, I don't get it.

I agree, I can count the number of times I have used the ignore feature on 2 maybe 3 fingers. But with some people it is just not worth being drawn into their bizarre little world, so ignore it is.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion not necessarily mine; however some refuse to grant people that right and will nit-pick until they draw them into an argument and then report them to the mods for real or imagined offenses.

And besides what am I really missing ?

Hey Now

I use ignore all the time, but my ignore is just me saying to myself, "Don't bother with that guy." I still read all of the posts. :smug:

Yup, that works too.

I often use that method myself.

I'm ignoring all of you - as far as I can tell, I'm the only one that's posted in this thread!
