Thursday as well. Especially during the news. Wonder what substance would cause this side effect? Probably too early in the morning for drinking.

It was going on today again big-time. You're right.

My guess is it's a pharmaceutical, but something that he shouldn't be taking.... maybe Xanax, Percocet, Valium, Atavan... one of those types of drugs. Or he's drinking before the show. It's SOMETHING. That's for sure!

he actually seems happier the past few weeks now that he can be "open" about his drug activities (meaning that he still lies about it, but it's understood that nobody really believes him anymore).

I was just listening to the show from yesterday and I could hear some slurring late in the show. I feel bad for the guy.

Listen to it again, it's throughout the whole show, and again throughout the show today.

It's different. He's now "on" something during the show. My wife said "even his laugh is different", and it is.

It's not an antidepressant, it's something else. And I doubt something that's prescribed by a doctor. If anything, he's self-medicating.

And Howard is totally onto it, too. I see that he's rushing Artie along... almost like the less Artie talks, the better. Howard sees it.

Yeah, I totally agree that he is on something during the show now. He's a different guy lately. I bet he's taking something "prescribed" by his "friend" the "doctor" that he sees at 6am. That's probably how he justifies whatever narcotic he is now taking instead of heroin.

Yeah...I'm listening to Wednesday's show at the moment(I'm always a day behind)and it's so obvious that Artie is on something. The caller from the Wrap Up Show on Tuesday totally nailed it and Gary and Jon just shrugged the caller off.

I noticed it right away while tuning in at 6am, and while I haven't yet heard the rest of the show or the Wrap-Up Show, I have a feeling something is FINALLY up in terms of doing something about "the Artie situation." Maybe not to any significant level, and maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part...

From what I remember, Howard even called him out on it, didn't he say, "What's going on with you today, you're tired?" so it was certainly noticeable...

And if ya notice, when Artie is trying to talk, Robin frequently talks OVER him (and Artie shuts up).

Something's up with Artie, big-time, and they know it.

Yes, Howard did. But I think that was only because Howard knew that Artie's condition was noticeable on the air. Robin sees it too.

This is unusual. Artie has been talking about antidepressants for days now, and how they helped him... and now this??

For a long time we've been talking about him, and I have used the term "Crash and Burn"... is this the crash??

What the fuck is up with him?!?!

It sounds like the weird, lazy voice associated with heroin use. Either that or numb lips from cocaine or the pipe.

Wonder if his "condition" was a cause for choking on the peanut M&M during the 50-cent interview? He was slurring right after that as well. First time I noticed that something wasn't quite right. With all of his talk about anti-depressants the past few weeks, I believe that he's on one (or more) of those.

I don't know, much like the 'ppl on the show' i love artie for who he is, and what he brings, but really sick and tired of his old 'i'm a druggie, i'm fat blah blah wahh wahh' Howard, Gary, Jon, and everyone else, have put forward that attitude of 'who cares' and 'move along' and I'm happy for it...

Artie was feeding off the attention, whether it was conscious or not, its fodder for the show and he knew it.

Maybe whatever he is on currently was given to him by his cousin who bought it over the counter in a Domincan pharmacy...

Don't you mean a "Deleware" pharmacy. :heat: After listening to the 50-cent interview again, you can hear how he just blurted out a few comments that really didn't add anything to the conversation. As mentioned earlier, Howard/Robin just talked over him or directed the conversation a different way. Sad. Hope he gets it fixed.
