Artie dislikes Lisa G news Stories

Listening to Artie mad about Lisa G and her poking into Artie's situation is very tense. I think Artie is in a bad mood but Artie has a total point. He is trying to help himself and I can't imagine that the news constantly updating his sobriety can be a good thing. It's a move Howard likes because it's good for the radio but I don't think it helps Artie at all.

It's very cool that Robin is on Artie's side here.

Howard has his main priority on good radio. But the difference is now vs. before it usually involves good radio without it being uncomfortable to Howard. So he has more of his team doing the dirty work and drama. It does seem that Howard prefers good news and on air conflict over the cast having normal easy lives and when Artie is claiming to try to get clean that just doesn't seem cool.

As much as I hate to take Robin's side on things, she's spot on on this one. I think the news department can sometimes be interesting, but for the most part it seems like they are a constant pain in the ass to most people but Howard. Howard escapes most scrutiny, especially since he's able to reel them back when they start poking around in his life - something they seem less and less willing to do lately.

I'm still all for canning the news department - spend those salaries and overhead on something else, like Bubber

1 because it's the Howard Stern show and the Howard 100 News department.

100% correct. robin is right. when they did that story about him buying beth a tennis bracelet, he went ballistic 3 years ago. since then, they've been very reluctant to do any stories on howard unless their total fluff pieces such as bullsh*t stories about NSAL.
