Anyone think nothing happens on the Sirius side tomorrow?

I suspect Sirius will update the channel lineup shown on their website a day or two later.

Posted this elsewhere...

They jumped the gun yesterday on the website and removed Jay Thomas from Sirius Stars schedule and slotted in Dr. Laura. It's now been corrected. Thomas people say Jay is moving to another channel. Thank goodness!

As a Sirius sub, I am hoping we get some changes tomorrow. I don't want XM to have all the fun.

Its weird they are removing Disorder, I JUST started getting into it yesterday, tuned to it while relaxing in bed, and it played for 5 hours, really enjoyed it. I was looking forward to listening to it all week, I guess I just have tonite to enjoy it. Better setup the stiletto to record a few hours. I liked the mix of different songs, my ADD makes me change the channel a lot, so Disorder helped me with that, and showed me new kinds of music.

I think the music lineup will be identical with different channel numbers.

If so the program directors need to be shot.
Why add confusion forcing longer ID's???

"This is Sirius XP 40: Deep Tracks"

not
"This is Sirius 16 the vault and xm 40 deep tracks"

I agree with late1. It's annoying.

Channel number changes are not a big deal. I really wouldn't mind if Sirius got all swapped up to match XM's leaked PDF file. Fine by me.

Less confusion.

Plus dual subs, renting cars, etc... you always know where your fav channels are.

They will most likely realign the channel numbers once they are up and running with the same channels.

So just say "this is deep tracks." There's no law that says they have to use the numbers. Maybe occasionally throw in a XM 40, Sirius 16 stinger like they do on the Virus or whatever.

I'm of the opinion that you guys will be getting the same exact lineup we XMers get. We'll see.

One way to fix this would be to just say this is Sirius Xm Radio or This is Deep Tracks and not give channel numbers. I mean people pretty much should know what the hell channel they are on. I always thought this was pretty stupid to begin with.

But it will likely be something like. This is Sirius XM Love Sirius channel 3 Xm channel 23.

Not sure of the actual channel numbers at this point. I don't think we'll see channels with the same content with different names totally.

Hard Attack is gonna be.....Liquid Metal. Even SIRIUS' website indicates so:
Listener Domination
Wednesdays 7 pm ET
Fridays 4 pm ET
Three metal songs, three chances for you to let the world know why your choices should dominate Liquid Metal! Call 1-877-33-SIRIUS and tell us why you should be this week's guest DJ! If you're the chosen one, you'll pick three metal songs and get three times to talk up your choices and show off to all your family and friends! Liquid Metal is your metal station ... let your voice be heard!
The change has begun...and I'm beginning to believe more and more that the music channels (minus the Canadians, thanks to XM Canada and SIRIUS Canada) will be identical, other than channel number.

That's a confusing comment.
The XM channel guide has liquid metal.
Now the Sirius web site is confirming this.

So what is leading you to DOUBT that the music will be identical on both?

I was thinking the same thing. If anything it confirms the content will be completely identical.

The Canadian channels and the CC commerialized stations are probably going to be the only differences between the 2 lineups (other than numbers).
