It was obviously a replay, today's coming from January 5th, 2007.

Bubba with the quote about Jason Ellis: "I love that kid, I love that kid. And Manson's wife would love to sleep with him."

I only heard bits and pieces of the various airings (10 AM ET, 3 PM PT, 1 AM ET Saturday), but he was a guest on the show. Looking back, it was interesting to see them as apparent buddies, then go into the radio war of earlier this year, and ending with the "Ned Dragons" t-shirt.

"War" is a bit of an exaggeration. Looks like Ellis was the only one of the two to buy into that whole thing. Hasn't he taken some cheap shots at Bubba recently?

It certainly is interesting to see how things have turned out since then.

Right as I was falling asleep, I heard on the replay that Bubba actually was sent some Red Dragons stuff by Jason and actually had a Red Dragons sticker on his truck.

Yeah, "war" is an exaggeration, but I didn't really know what else to put there? Feud? Disagreement? Work?

I think that it started out as Bubba being more fed up with the jerkboats that kept saying he sucked and that they were going to listen to Ellis than anything specific to do with Ellis himself. Then of course that got blown out of proportion into some feud thing.

I'd say there might have been a bit of heat, but it was probably more of a work than it was any sort of war.

Ned Dragons!

Yep. That went over a lot of people's heads apparently and turned into "OMG! He's bashing Ellis!" Maybe this shirt will finally bring an end to that. Peace through cloth, kind of brings a tear to my eye. :jj:

Canada Eh!
yeah it seemed to be more in fans minds than anyone else' They go back and forth but it doesn't seem to be anything really vicious to me. I think Ellis said he thought the shirt was funny one day last week. Because it is lol you can't really deny that.

Nobody gave a rats ass about Ellis until Bubba's new deal started and folks wanted a LIVE, uncensored show in the afternoon. It just happens that Jason is on at the same time as Bubba.

Yeah. The fans kept calling him all sorts of dirty names, Bubba blew his top and it devolved from there.

I'm not denying the humor in the Ned Dragons shirt.

Yeah.

Too bad Ellis doesn't end at 3 PM ET. If he did a noon to 3 PM or an 11 AM ET to 3 PM, that would be perfect for the fans.

I think what a lot of the shit happened when Ellis came on a bit too strong, kind of what I wrote here.

There really was no rivalry until the fans made one. Bubba might have contributed a little to the fans angst, but he was probably contractually obligated not to spill the beans on his new deal. As we all know, he said "back in some capacity" which the fans generally assumed to be an uncensored one and certainly a far cry from what we have right now.

The fans got mad at Bubba for not spilling the details, but he said all he could say.
