Very impressive indeed! They've got great QB play, and the defense is doing the job against Missouri so far tonight.

I have the LSU and the Texas game on Picture and Picture split screen on the old 61" Samsung. I almost feel religious.

Mizzo's got an offense. The Longhorns are stacked at every position. The gauntlet continues for Texans as they face #8 Oklahoma and #7 Texas Tech in the next two weeks. If they remain undefeated book'em for the BCS title game.

Sorry to break it to any Mizzou fan, but they've been extremely overrated over the past season and a half. The media, for whatever reason, has fallen completely in love with Chase Daniel. Don't get me wrong, they're a pretty good team, but legit national championship contenders? Come on. Going back to last season, show me where they've had a big win. Show me! Okay, they beat Kansas, good job. Oh, and they beat an Arkansas team who had no head coach. Other than that, they've lost in every big game (Oklahoma twice, Oklahoma State, Texas). If you want to be an elite team, you're gonna have to win big games at some point. I'm tired of Missouri...go away.

They play Oklahoma State next week...they already beat Oklahoma.

Texas looks incredible. I think the Big 12 is were its at this year. If they can get by OK state and Texas Tech then there is no stopping them. I think Texas Tech will give them the best game. The quarterback and reciever play for them is second to none. There ware some great teams in The Big 12.

I agree with you about Missouri, they are very overrated, at least compared to Big 12 and SEC competition. But I am sooooo tired of the Big 12 being dominated by the South. When will someone step up? Come on Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, KU. Hello, anyone, anyone there? My biggest thrill now is to see Nebraska beat Colorado. I used to expect National Championship contention every year. I know Bo isn't a miracle worker, but I wish he was, I surely do. There's always next year, but I ain't getting any younger!:(

Whenever you have a coaching change in college football, you've gotta remind yourself to be patient. You have to give the new guy AT LEAST three years (probably 4) to turn things around, you have to give him time to implement his own system and get his own guys on the roster. I'm sick of hearing Michigan fans call into radio shows and complaining about Rich Rod, wondering if this really is the guy for them. Give him time! He runs a COMPLETELY different offense than Carr did! Not everyone is going to be like Nick Saban, who in his 2nd year has 'Bama ranked number 2 (I think he's the best coach in the nation).

But with that said, I think the Huskers have found their guy with Bo Pelini. He's a defense first kind of coach, and he's not gonna throw it all over the field like Callahan did; that wasn't Nebraska football. Pelini knows how to coach and scheme against teams...I found that out when they almost beat my team, Texas Tech (we got very, very lucky...I'll be the first to admit that). But like I said, I wouldn't worry about Bo, I think he's your guy. You're at 4-3 right now, and I see at least 2 more wins on that schedule, probably 3, so you're going to a bowl game. And I think Bo will have them back in the national picture within 4 years. Like you said, the Big XII North isn't all that great, so I could definitely see them on top of that division pretty soon (especially with Chase Daniel leaving, and in my opinion, Gary Pinkel leaving for Washington).

I don't call winning by 4 winning big, I call that just barely pulling it off. They'll lose that #1 ranking yet, just you wait and see.

Ahhh...a disgruntled Mizzou fan, how sad. What would you call winning by 25, is that just barely pulling it off?

But hey, I hope you are right about them losing the #1 ranking...they play Tech next week, Wreck 'em Tech!

Not disgruntled at all. Just callin it how I see it.

I don't understand. How exactly do you "see it"? I guess what you're trying to do is belittle UT's win against OK State today because the margin of victory was only 4. Believe me, I'd like to agree with you, because I hate Texas, but I can't. Anytime you beat the number 6 team in the country - no matter who it is, where it's at, or by how many - it's a big time win. That's the problem with Missouri, they don't win big games. Texas Tech also has that problem, hopefully it changes next week.

On Oct 4th Texas beat Colorado 38-14. Missouri just got done playing Colorado. Final score, 58-0. Now that's what I call winning big. Like I said earlier, MU can get another chance against Texas and if they do, that just might be their big game. You can't win them all, and you have to admit, the past 2 years no one has been able to stay in that number 1 spot for long.

Texas beat Missouri by 25.

And I'm not talking about winning big...I'm talking about winning big games.
