So I'm becoming a fan of Ron and Fez after giving them a listen on hearustalk.com. I'm thinking of getting the $35 year subscription (depending on what happens with Sirius XM) to their podcasts. Anyone here use the service? What are your experiences with it?

I tried the free trial of it after listening to the Audible show on the old Sonic Theater, and found it not worth the money. I mean, you basically just get a discounted price on all the books on the website, with very few freebies. You'd have to buy so many audiobooks to justify it, as in enough that you woudn't have time for much else.

Then they bugged the crap out of me to renew... I just found them to be a mess

I can see how that would be annoying. But I just plan on getting a year of Ron & Fez for $35, not any audiobooks.

I've used it once and had a good experience.

Just a warning though, sometimes Ron and Fez do weekend and/or special evening shows and those won't be posted on Audible. Also, during vacation weeks, a lot of pre-XM clips are played during best-of's and Audible does not post those shows either.

Thanks. I read about that on ronfez.net. I assume it's an issue over who has rights to the pre-XM material.

I use audible.com for XM related shows. My work schedule varies, so sometimes I am unable to record Virus programming live. I buy the yearly subscriptions as it saves me money in the long run as opposed to buying only the single shows as needed. I also burn a month's worth of shows to CD-R's to keep my hard drive from filling up. As long as you have WMP and the Audible plugin, you can always listen to the shows from the CD-R with having to copy them back onto the hard drive.
