Hey Now

She's a great guest. She's almost in the league of other C-List classic guests such as Tiny Tim, Richard Simmons, and Pat Cooper.

Not sure you need to be an A-lister to be a good guest/interview. For me its the chemistry between the interviewer in this case Howard and the guest/interviewee who ever that may be.

Howard has had/done many memorable guest/interviews with people whose names I cant remember.

Its all about the chemistry. IMO

That was my point. Some of the best guests of all time have been C-list celebrities and below. I think Joan is a great guest.

I agree completely. And Joan is his kind of gal because her specialty is ridiculing other celebrities (except for her dear friends, Prince Charles and Camilla).

I'd rather hear Artie than Joan maybe thats just me.

I'm debating in my head, "Would I rather listen to Joan Rivers again or get a wheat grass enema?"

I think Joan would win out, but I'm disturbed that wheat grass enema has a legitimate chance. :D

For me, it's the Wheat Grass. I'm with Artie on this one...

Hey the Wheat Grass motif seems to be all the rage for some, lots of guys are having their Man Caves redone in Wheat Grass. :eek:mfg:

Not me though, I would rather sit through another Joan Rivers interview.

I'll be glad when Artie is gone from the show. He breaks up the cadence of the interviews.

Typical Artie:

"Let me just say, ah, ah, you know correct me if I'm wrong here but, um, ah, you know, I've banged a lot of hot chicks and, ah,ah, no offense but, there was this one time where I was doing this gig and, ah, ah, I'm just saying."

No Artie you aren't saying anything. You're breaking up the banter between Howard, Robin and the guest.

Robin provides an even keel for the show. She plays the comic straightwoman for Howard and an alternative outlet for his self-effacing humor.

They need someone quick witted like Howard, but with enough self-assurance to play a supporting role in the background.

It's true.

It's a big issue. Howard and Robin are working around Artie. They're trying to make the best of it.

Respectfully disagree. He's the glue that enables them to riff for extended periods.

I agree. When he's out, Howard seems to struggle more to fill time. He usually goes to a lot of clips and stuff. To me, those aren't as funny when Artie's not joining in the joking so it makes it especially noticable.

If anyone needs replacing, it's Sal for either Dan TSPM or Mike Morris (Morse?).

Robin is the most quick-witted and compatible with Howard. Howard respects her big-time, and he should.

Artie has been hired as #3 (with regard to speaking). Yeah, Artie's "antics" are fine, but they truly are wearing on everyone there. No one knows what to do, and the truth is, I don't think they can do anything!! AND they realize that.

Your welcome.

Artie's usually funny if he would spit out what he wants to say and not interupt at inopportune times.

I'm not saying delete the third person. There's got to be hundreds of personalities waiting to fill the position.

But you might not be able to use their life threatening self destruction to help carry the show.

But hell Artie's killing himself with heroin, Robin with colonics, and Gary with obesity so maybe that's what the show has evolved to.

Here's what I think...

Howard will protect Artie. Robin will bail on him. Gary will bail on him. Fred will ultimately follow Robin.

Hey Now

artie has clearly given up on himself, once you give up on yourself its hard for others to care.

People will get tired of his antics, if they haven't already.
