A customer called in this morning with a problem with his Alpine CDA9851 head unit. He has this connected to the Sirius Alpine connect tuner SIRALP1. The customer said that his system worked for a good year and a half perfectly. About a month and a half ago his unit started glitching out after about a half hour of usage every day. The unit would be working fine and then cut off completely, claim it was looking for a signal, then come back on sounding slowed down and almost possessed. When the customer would shut the radio off and then back on, the problem would still be occuring, however when he cut the engine and restarted his system, the problem would go away and then basically reset the whole 30 minute interval again. Has anyone else experienced this whole chopped and screwed issue????

I have an IDA-x100 and I had problems with the unit on and off for about a month. I had several head units installed and taken out. The problem turned out to be the connecter that matches the Sirius tuner to the head unit. They replaced both the head unit and the Sirius tuner and things have worked great since.
