I was looking at Sirius.com to see about the Best Of XM package. On the page that has the 3-months free offer, it says that there is a $15 activation fee when you add the package. On the Best Of XM FAQ page, which seems to have been put up before the 3-months free offer, it says that there is fee to upgrade. So now, instead of paying $4/month for the first 3 months with no activation fee, you can now get the first 3 months free with a $15 activiation fee - a savings of -$3!

So, what I'm asking here, for anyone with the Best of XM - was there a fee to upgrade?

I was renewing my sub and the CSR offered to waive the $15 if I would upgrade to the BoXM. I don't remember paying the activation fee when I originally subscribed last year since I did it online.

When I did the Best of XM lifetime add-on, they didn't charge me activation fee. (But then again, I'm giving SIRIUS money up-front, so that's probably why)...

I'm sure there is a way to get them to waive it... Being polite to the CS reps is a good start.

None for me either, but it would not surprise me to see them start doing this as much as they need money.
