Well, that is a great buy! I don't need it, but I think I am going to get one just for general principle. I know if push comes to shove I can sell it to one of my friends. But I freaking love that big display! May just use it for home!

Thanks for the Woot Notice!

I have a buddy that just bought one on Ebay $79 for a 4gb. He is going to be pissed!

By the way the recent update that fixed the stuttering issues and added all the same artist as the G2 makes this almost a no brainer if you don't mind the larger size.

Well tomorrow when everyone wakes up they will take note of this. I am going to stick it so it will be at the top of the thread at least until they are sold out!

Almost turned off the computer at 12:30, said what the hell I'll see what Woot has at 1AM.

THANKS for the sticky, first ever anywhere!

I am so jealous/annoyed that I just spent $50 on the 2 gig a few weeks ago! I don't think I need any more than 2 gigs worth of music at any one time, but the ability to have more than 15 stations would have been very very nice.

This is a great deal.

I posted this site to woot forum, got 19 viewing right now on slacker page 2:15am

Sweet, I was reviewing their forum discussion on it and many are talking pretty postive about Slacker.

You do have those that like to pass long misinformation. Well you must have a wifi connection or it won't work! GEEZ!!!

:ter:

I could'nt pass up this deal even though I have the 40 channel G2. The fact that all the shortcomings of the G1 have been addressed with firmware updates and the price makes this a no-brainer.

I will use this as my permanent player in the bedroom because of the large display.

Just bought one for the bedroom. That large display will be nice!!

Now, here is my question. Will we have to set up another slacker account and recreate all of our stations to use a second portable device?

As I understand it, yes.

Couldn't you send yourself a share this station email so you will have all your stations?

Thanks, any idea what that case is made of?

Texas Cowhide! LOL

I am not sure what it is made of but it is sort of a swede like material, but it has a really soft inside. The device just slides in it and it would be very easy for it to slide out. It really is more for looks than protection if you ask me.

Yeah that is what I like is that large display. But you will need to setup another Slacker account and do just was TX said. I did this just the morning and I already have my account setup and just waiting on Woot. :) When I ordered the 2gb one for Woot, I ordered on Monday and they shipped that Friday. But this week we have New Years, so it may actually end up being NEXT week before they even ship. I won't complain though with this good deal!
