And the Final Four is set! Two of them!

In the irrelevant CBI (College Basketball Invitational), you've got Richmond, UTEP, Stanford, and Oregon State. And in the even more obscure CIT (CollegeInsider.com Tournament), the last four standing are Bradley, Pacific, James Madison, and Old Dominion. Awesome.

Actually, Bradley's win over Oakland (Michigan) last night was pretty exciting, I guess.

I heard of the CBI but never heard of the CIT.

The other NCAA Tournament, the NCAA Hockey Tournament starts this weekend. Boston University, Notre Dame, Denver and Michigan are the top seeds in the Regionals. WCHA champion North Dakota and Air Force, which was hot at the beginning of the season are also in.

If Memphis were to get back in the title game would be amazing, considering all the talent they lost coming into this season.

Same goes for Kansas. They lost their ENTIRE starting five from last year's team (plus Sasha Kaun).

I heard of the CBI but never heard of the CIT.

Probably because the CIT is brand new this year. It's geared toward mid-major schools who didn't make the Tournament.

WOW! Mizzou 49, Memphis 36 at halftime! When you can hit a 3 pointer (nothing but net!!) from about 70 feet, it must be your night :)

Putting aside the whole bracket competition, it would be great to see Missouri advance, since we have a few Mizzou fans around here!

What a great game for Missouri, looked like Memphis was going to run them down in the 2nd half with all their drives to the bucket. Why did Missouri give up on their looping screen offense? Tired? Do you think playing in large stadium messes with your ability to hit free throws? I know Memphis historically stinks but both teams were clanking their charity stripe shots.

Go Big 12!

Yeah, not too bad for a supposed "down" year. 6-0 in the first round, three teams in the Sweet 16, at least one team in the Elite 8....I'd like to say "ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!!" tonight but my bracket just won't allow for that. I will be a big-time Oklahoma fan though..."BOOMER SOONER!!!"

Congrats to you Missouri fans. Great year, one to really be proud of, no matter what ends up happening tomorrow against UConn. If Mike Anderson continues to have this kind of success, it'll be interesting to see if he sticks around in Columbia, because I'm sure he'd get some offers at other schools. Oklahoma may have the same problem with Jeff Capel in the near future. And OSU with Travis Ford (hmmm, Kentucky maybe?).

I hope Mizzou wears out UConn like they did Memphis. They need to run on all cylinders and stay aggressive. I hope they practiced on their free throw shooting too.

GO MIZZOU!!!

Free throw shooting may be a problem for Mizzou today. Not necessarily making them, but getting to the line in the first place. They shot FORTY-FIVE free throws against Memphis, and it's really something Mizzou relies on to be successful. Problem today is, UConn commits very few fouls...I think they might lead the nation in that category, but if not, they're right up there.

Mizzou really needs to create an up-tempo style of pace (which they're good at doing) in order to keep UConn's big men ineffective. Good luck to your Tigers!

Add Georgia to the list as the first school trying to lure Mike Anderson away from Mizzou. I doubt he'd go there though...seems like a lateral move at best. But, rumor has it that Memphis will target Anderson as well if Calipari ends up going to Kentucky. I'd be a little more worried about that one.

Billy Donovan coaching tree is growing: VCU coach to Alabama and new VCU coach is Florida assistant.

Georgia should bite the bullet and get Bob Knight in there to get their program back on track.
