Inspired by a similiar thread in the MLB forum, I thought it would be a good idea to start a discussion thread for the 2009 NFL season. Here you can gloat when your team wins or vent when your team loses, or discuss anything at random that otherwise would not warrant its own thread. Let's enjoy the season, and may the best team win!

I'm going to have to choose a back up for this season. A team that will have a winning season & go far in the playoffs (playoffs?)

That team will be the Vikings :)

Eagles!!

Donovan McNabb to his mom, "Moms, why you always give me Campbells Chunky Soup straight from the can?!"

Mrs. McNabb, "Well, Don-don, everytime you get around a bowl, you choke."

Bwahahaha... thank God for Vick, the saviour of the Eagles.

Is it me or did a lot of teams look really sloppy today? Shaking off th rust I suppose. Tennessee and Pitsburg both looked polished by th second half Thursday

I know the Texans looked beyond sloppy. Couldn't score an offensive TD against the Jets...imagine what your Titans will do next week!

I feel the season is over ALREADY!!!!!

I'll just assume you beat us so that puts us at 0-2...who thinks the Texans can go at least 10-4 the rest of the way...and they'll probably need to go 11-3 to have a chance at the playoffs in the AFC.

:disagree:

I know the Broncos didn't deserve to win today. If it weren't for Stokely being in the right place at the right time they wouldn't have.

They also just added NFL RedZone on Dish Network today, I watched that. Very cool!

I already mentioned this on another board, but I hope that the Broncos stole that magic wand the Rockies haven been using the past three months. Man, what a game. That was an unbelievable finish. It screwed me on the picks, but it was a fantastic ending.

Now if the Broncos would only break that magic wand or at least never give it back to the Rockies.

Good to see the Bungles showed up today in place of the Bengals; hahahahahahahaha

At least the Colts won, now if the Patriots win Monday night it will have been a good weekend.

It's tough to wait for football all summer and then end up feeling that way. Luckly for me I don't just follow ONE team.

I don't like seeing players get hurt....I'd rather see them get beat with their start power on the field.

But I have ZERO respect for McNabb. Even though I HATE the Eagles (and Vick), it wouldn't bother me to see them now win some games so that maybe attention-starved crybaby McNabb will run his mouth some more so I can laugh at him.
