I guess the reds will have blown their 1 chance to be in first place alone barring a comback in the bottom of the 9th that is.

The AL East is only fun if the Yankees lose or the Blue Jays win. I am hopefull for the former and will await a Sirius channel update after the later.

Nothing better than seeing the yanks losing the opener with their 20+ million $$ pitcher giving up six in just over four innings, five walks, no strikeouts. :2funny: He will be on the DL within a few weeks with a hammy or groin injury. There's always an excuse - and an early season injury. Happens every year.
Griffey hit a home run tonight in his first game with the Mariners since 1999. Very cool to see that. Next to Biggio and Bagwell, Junior has always been my favorite player. The Kid should have never left Seattle in the first place!

Hey goreds, you up for a friendly bet? Astros and Reds play a 4-game series starting on the 17th. If Houston wins the series, you change your avatar to the Astros logo until the start of their next series (the 27th). Or I'll change mine to the Reds logo if Cincy wins. If they split 2-2, we'll use total runs as a tie breaker.

And the Rockies are in First Place. So what if it's only three games into the season.
April 7th is a day to remember too. It was the day the Jays had the AL East lead all to themselves. Fortunatly, you can put that date into the standings of MLB.com and relive the glory for as long as you want. It may be useful come July.
