Just noticed that there's a new version of the online iPhone app that enables backgrounding...seems to work great so far: There was also an update to the SkyDock app, but it didn't mention backgrounding (just "improvments" for iOS 4 devices).

I've seen this too...it seemed to get worse for me after the November channel update. Even with 3 bars, in the car dock, I'll get dropouts and the acquiring signal message for a few seconds every few minutes. I'm just glad I'm not the only one.

Count me in as a new Slacker convert. I've had Sirius for years, and I used to be pretty active on Backstage, but I've slowly become disinterested in the service, mostly due to the increased DJ chatter and the repetition on some of my favorite channels. Don't get me started on the merger channel...
