    New radio's being announced

I think the Skydock is brilliant. It puts most of the responsibility - and cost - on a different developer. In this case that is Apple, but it doesn't mean you couldn't extend the concept and build on the platform to others like Blackberry or Palm. It shows you that there is a certain sunk...

    ALT NATION has been.....

I've also been very pleased with Alt Nation's selection over the past few months. I don't have a chance to listen during the day much, but I did catch part of a band block or whatever they are calling it. One of the local stations does/did do that as well and it always seemed to be popular...

    Music Royalty Fees

Yes, but then why does it say "$0.97 for base plans".

    Music Royalty Fees

I'm still confused on the actual charges. The e-mail states: The fee is $1.98 per month on our base $12.95/month "SIRIUS Everything" subscription Package and $.97/month for base plans that are eligible for additional radio discounts. Does this really mean if you have 3 radios it's $0.97*3...

Sirius|XM on the iPhone - Official Thread

This is great. I'll be adding the Premium Online service to my account either today or tomorrow and start listening. I already downloaded the application. I especially love the tagging feature that lets you later buy through the iTMS!!

Official Sirius|XM iPhone Application - News, Rumors, Specifications, etc.

Does anybody think that OS 3.0 is required for this?

    Music Royalty Fees

I'm not keen on this, but I don't blame Sirius|XM. If anything, this should help as those fees will be passed along straight to this Copyright Royalty Board (CRB). In turn, this should free up funds and show a better bottom line for the company (I hope!).

Sirius|XM on the iPhone - Official Thread

I really really hope they've done something smart, in that the "Shopping" feature will be the ability to tag songs which will allow you to view your cart at a later time. Additionally, you should then be able to click on a song in the cart and be taken to the iTMS. If it is anything else...

    2003 BMW (FMSC1 and SCC1) Install

Thanks for the kind words. Agreed with your assessment on OEM units, which is why I struggled for so long. I enjoy her very much - great car. AWD isn't a must around these parts, but a few times a year so you can get away with 2WD, although I was seriously thinking about AWD before I bought...

    2003 BMW (FMSC1 and SCC1) Install

Sirius is an option on my BMW model, but I had a few issues with the stock solution (despite the clean factor integration). 1) The module is expensive ($400+ new) 2) The module is only a receiver On top of these I was unsure if my radio module was compatible with the OEM solution (that would...

    FMSC1 Feedback and Pictures

0.73" would just be too easy, wouldn't it? ;) The picture in the manual indicates a short cord off the control unit. Does that mean the interface module needs to be close, or is the "8 pin DIN Cable" an extension cable with a male/female interface? Sorry for all of the questions -...

    FMSC1 Feedback and Pictures

Yeah, that's unfortuantely what I discovered. I thought about getting a different head unit, but honestly that's just a step too far at this point from what I'm willing to do. The unit says the control module is 0.73" deep. I assume that inclues the protrusion of the control knob?

    FMSC1 Feedback and Pictures

That seems like it would work (based on the PIE language). However, I think it would mess with my iPod/Phone interface and it's also just a tuner (no artist seek, game alters, etc.).

    FMSC1 Feedback and Pictures

2003 BMW (with OEM navigation). I exchanged a few e-mails Droo from your place over the winter trying to figure out a solution. I was going to get the OEM solution, but it's pricey and questionable if my radio will support it - hence my hesitation. Plus it was only a tuner - no other...
