Did you get it, did you get it? I love it when people get really cool new toys. Do tell!

Did you keep it on long enough to get those pesky channel icons updated! hehehe

Yes, I did get it installed, and love it. Took a long drive to test it out -- and let the icons update, which they did with no problems.

I also wanted to test out how it would do with the roof-mounted Sirius antenna that I've had installed for 4 years and was using with the Sportster. It works absolutely fine...so I don't have to spend the time running new wires for the XM antenna.

My only minor quibble with the XpressRC is the limit of 10 presets (although the split-screen view makes it easy to tune channels that aren't in my 10).

Fantastic, glad you got it working and the logos came down for you.

It is nice not having to run an antenna again, but the frequencies are so close that the antennas usually do work just fine.

Yeah the 10 presets with no abiilty to switch to bank b or c really was sort of an oversight. But them coming from the Inno which has ZERO presets that you could simply push was a huge improvement. I too use the split screen which helps.

Yeah, I thought that the antenna would work (tested it previously with my wife's Inno) but it was good to confirm it.

I didn't want another Inno, as this is pretty exclusively for use in the car -- and not being portable gives me an excuse to pick up the Slacker G2 I've been eyeing

Just installed my XpressRC and its been on for about 15 minutes. I got the activation signal immediately and I see that the old logos and such are still in there. I got all my presets added and now its powered on and running. Hopefully I will get the new channel logos, etc soon. I am kind of excited to see new ones.

Sweet! Congrats on your new XpressRC!

It will take awhile for all the channel icons and wallpapers to download. It does this in the background. I think when they made all the channel changes it first removed all the old icons and then added them all back along with the new ones. It took like 3 or 4 hours before the process completed. Just plug it and leave it running. Make sure once you notice they are all there, you use the power button to turn it off so that it saves everything. If you just pull it off the dock or remove power from it, sometimes it has to re-download everything again as it didn't properly save it. Just a little tip for you from my own learning experiences.

Fantastic! Glad everything downloaded and it is working great for you. I personally think the XpressRC is THE best sat radio out there today in the PNP class of tuners. Then again I swapped out a Pioneer Inno for one of these babies so for me it is really the best sat radio period. LOL That display is one of the best I've seen and the fact that on the XM side they keep the channel icons and wallpapers updated unlike the Sirius side, makes it even better.
