XM Radio Firmware Upgrade

Downloded and installed yesterday on both of my radios.

I cannot see any differences or find what it fixed.

Anyone know what changes there are? I can't find anything on it.

Is it normal that these take more than a solid minute to be ready to play?

Strange that the web site doesn't even mention what it addresses.

Hey... at least the XMp3 is getting firmware updates, that is a good thing ultimately!

During the install a box pops up and says it addresses these issues. That is all is says.

lol

The radio does now say 1.31 instead of 1.30.

LOL, you can tell it is likely Sirius doing this updates now, instead of the old XM team.

I wonder if it will get any better at recording.

If this unit would just be stiletto-like in its recording capability, it would really be a great device.

My main complaints are you can't delete auto recorded content,(without wiping the whole thing) it won't overwright recorded songs and it does not divide the recordings like the Stiletto did. (it does not keep the 10 hours available to singly recorded songs)

All XMP3i's manufactured after Nov 2010 come with the new 1.32 firmware already installed, but Sirius has not made it available for download for older units for some reason.

I have once again updated the link, thanks for the update. Strange that 1.32 has never been made available for download.

Just got xmp3i for the old lady and it came with 1.29x, did update and it now says version 1.28x is this right?

My understanding is all new ones out of the box were suppose to already have 1.32 on them. For some reason the only version released for the XmP3i was 1.31. I am not sure why yours came with and older version firmware, unless it was old stock. But it should have updated to 1.31 from what I understand.

Maybe someone else can chime in, if push comes to shove you could always call support. LOL I know that is funny.

Did they ever add the ability for the XMP3i to bookmark or save where you left off with a recording? If you turn it off say an hour into the recording, will the device remember that when you turn it back on?
