I would probably enjoy this channel if Sirius had it, but Sirius Hits 1 works for me.

Sounds: Top US pop/R&B/rap hits of the moment

Positives: I've always heralded this as a channel that if you take just 90 minutes out of your day you'll be up to date on the hottest hits out right now that the kids are listening to...

Negatives: ...and that you'll hear ad nauseum if you don't wait 2 more months to tune into the channel again because yes there is a fair bit of repetition on the channel (they take care of that somewhat by airing the countdown every 3 hrs now instead of the 90 mins previously), they're not playing anything that most of us can't get on regular radio (although my closest hit music outlet is a spotty DC signal, and there are commercials on most of the times I tune in). The music is censored which detracts away from the experience

Blastability: Medium to high. Some pretty good borderline nu rock/pop hit stuff is out right now that deserves some listens

Overall: I'll continue to use this channel as my occasional source to see what's hot, and maybe even snag some of the tracks that strike me for my own show.

Sounds exactly the same as Sirius Hits 1. Therefore same rating, same story. Something to listen to occasionally, but not a preset.

I had XM for over two years before I ever listened to this channel. I had a student that liked radio stations that played all the most popular songs, so when it was her turn to drive, this is what she'd listen to. It became one of my favorite channels...:D

I enjoy the countdown part of Top 20 on 20. It's nice to hear the most popular songs at that moment. Most of the songs I enjoy, too...:)

By no means do I think this channel is perfect. They really need to stop playing songs that are in the countdown, between countdowns (with the exception of Katy Perry's Hot & Cold...:)). Maybe they should play songs that are no longer in the countdown, or songs that are to new, but are sure to become part of the countdown...:)

Overall, 4 out of 5 Stars (when I'm able to rate on my computer)...:D

Yes, I gave the edge to 20 on 20 over Hits1 because the only artist I recognized while listening was Katy Perry. I am a first time listener to 20 on 20. I was a regular UPop listener for popular music but apparently UPop isn't very popular on XM and may be on it's last threads.

UPop is/was a WorldSpace (satellite radio) channel. It might have something to do with their contract expiring or most likely because WorldSpace has collapsed (including their UK operations).

While repititious, their original format, the nearly continuous countdown does seperate itself from most other hit stations. And there's no annoying DJ's! :bigclap:

I like this channel overall and I do enjoy the count down as pushed by those that bother calling in. Its sort of fun and now that they only do is so many times a day rather than over and over that is even better.

I like this channel way better than Hits 1, but still not as much as Pop2K.
