I thought this Chip Z'Nuff guy was pretty funny and worked well with Steven Adler, but who is he? Howard and Robin seemed quite friendly with him and he alluded to working on some stuff for the show and maybe Stuttering John's record. He seemed like he's been on before but I don't recognize the name. Am I the only?

Chip Z'Nuff is bass player from the "80s" band Enuff Z'nuff. According Enuff Z'nuff's Wikipedia page, they made several appearances on the Stern show in the 90s and 2005. I don't recall ever hearing them myself, but I didn't really become a fan of Stern until 2000.

Anyhow, for what it's worth, we saw Adler's Appetite play at a local bar last night. Chip Z'Nuff is playing bass in this band, along with Steven Adler on drums. I was really impressed. The band sounded great. They played almost all of Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction, along with several other GnR tracks. If you're into this kind of music, I'd definitely recommend checking this band out if they come through your area. They put on one hell of a show.

Bassist of Enuff Z'Nuff, utterly forgettable mid-80's-mid-90's hair pop/rock band that had a minor hit with Fly High Michelle.

Enuff Z'nuff - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Was on the show after his fame was up, in the 90's.

I was on Itunes and saw an 80s compilation. ONly it was mostly re-recordings (basically, artists re-record their hits since neither they nor the small time label making the compilation has permission to use the original versions) and live versions of songs. Also contained 80s artists covering hits by other eighties artists....but guess what "hit single" was featured on it, apparently in it's original version? Yep! "Fly High Michelle".

Howard always liked their music but the only thing I remember from them was when Beavis and Butthead saw one of their videos (probably "Michelle") and gave some great commentary!

Oh Jgatie......... You left out the smash single "New Thing". It rocketed up the charts to 76. I could see you as a hairband guy with a crazy mullet back in 87 to 91.

He's a rock star!!! (or thinks he is).

I was talking with a buddy who lives in Vegas a few days ago. He goes to many concerts and was going over the list of who he has saw this year (including lots of 80s hair bands with front men packing on a lot more pounds with a lot less hair) and mentioned the Enuff Z'Nuff show at one of the casinos in January. I guess Chip didn't like the way things were going after the first song or two (sound quality?) and said 'F-ck it!' and walked off stage. The lead singer couldn't talk him back on so they tried to play without him as a trio. This only worked a few songs so they just gave it up. Too bad someone who saw the Vegas show couldn't have called in to see what was up. Maybe someone did try and was stopped by Booey (or whoever screens the calls) to ensure that the ass-kiss-fest wasn't stopped.

No way, Hair Bands were for pussies. My hair was short, spiked up with too much Final Net and Knox Gelatin, worn with my black leather and Sid Vicious t-shirt, and my music consisted of early-punk, late-punk, and in-between-punk, plus any local Boston bands that I could catch live . . . and Motorhead (of course).

Except that is, when I went through my Social Distortion/Mike Ness phase and had a D.A. that was about 4 inches high, sideburns and slicked back sides, which disturbingly coincided with the same style being featured on Beverly Hills 90210. :bigahh:

Now I just wish I had saved some of that hair to fill in the thin stuff I have now.:wah:

In the late 80s/early 90s Howard talked about these guys a lot, swearing that they were on the verge of Superstardom. They were on the channel 9 show quite a bit.
They were the epitome of hairband crap. I couldn't believe Artie was not making fun of Chip Z'nuff, but the next day Artie threw out some funny lines about him that even Howard laughed at.

I missed two full days and am catching up. But I can't imagine that Artie and Robin weren't a bit weirded out by the suggestion that if anything happened to them that Chip Z'Nuff would be a good replacement. Really? I'm might be "dancing" if that happens!

I'm surprised you don't know of him or the band. Howard used to have them on and he used to talk them up quite a bit. The band made pop/rock music back in the 90's. I thought that Jellyfish did what they Enuf Z' Nuff did a lot better.

Yeah Howard thought they were going to be the next big thing for metal in the late 80's early 90's

I have their first disc and its good late 80s hairband metal. Did they talk about the drummer that died last year ?
