Metropolitan Broadcasting Corporation didn't change its name to Metromedia until 1961.

Technically, Memebag wins!

It was MetroMedia/Metropolitan Broadcasting, one of the greatest indie broadcasters in history (although they did own an NBC affiliate, WTCN/WUSA/KARE Minneapolis/St. Paul).
