I think mine has to be For What it's Worth by Buffalo Springfield...
What is you favorite?
Fight the Power by Public Enemy is a great one.
I also like London Calling by the Clash.
Got to think here, there are a lot.
Oh, god, how could I have forgotten "TESTIFY" by Rage Against the Machine. Probably my favorite of all time--listen to the words, still true today.
Thank you. Sometimes I can come up with something thought provoking..
Thunderclap Newman - "Something in the Air"
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young - "Ohio"
Barry McGuire - "Eve of Destruction"
Damn... Buffalo Springfield and Public Enemy were already taken. Those would have been mine.
Country Joe & The Fish - I Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die Rag
There you go, that's more like it. :yesshake:
"Won't Get Fooled Again" by the Who
Favorite lyric: Meet the new boss--same as the old boss.
"Revolution" by the Beatles
Favorite lyric: If you want money for people with minds that hate, all I can tell you is brother you'll have to wait.
"Killing in the Name" by Rage Against the Machine
Favorite lyric: Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me!
See, I feel like Won't get fooled again is actually an ANTI revolution song because the whole song just talks about everytime things change and new power takes control, it just reverts back to the way it was. Favorite lyric "The banners, they all fly in the next war."
But, not to diminish you pick, it is a GREAT SONG.

Good song, Rich...
Thanks. It does have a good beat and easy to dance to.

So does your mom.
That's true, but the chorus, "Won't Get Fooled Again," is an acknowledgment of that. They recognize that most change is bogus, but this time, they're not buying it.
Another great one: Sunshine (Go Away Today) by Jonathan Edwards.
Favorite lyric: He can't even run his own life, I'll be damned if he'll run mine!
You must have know my mother a long time ago, she passed away in 1988.
Beastie Boy's "Fight For Your Right To Party"
I really miss her pot roast.
My favorite protest song ever:
