It can be from any sport. Football. Baseball. Basketball. Hockey. The Olympics. Auto Racing. Curling. Any sport...:)

My all time favorite championship team was the (sorry Ifandorbut) 2002 Anaheim Angels...:D

The never say die, never give up attitude, the Rally Monkey...

So what is your favorite championship team?...

I'd say the '85 Bears is still my alltime favorite championship team. I was a big fan of the Bears that year... (and the Saints weren't winning anything!)
The Monsters of the Midway.

In college, of course, my favorites are all of LSU's championships in football and baseball. :)

The 1997 Denver Broncos. The first year they won it for Elway, and had a complete team. Terrell Davis was still healthy and productive, and the defense couldn't be stopped. Elway is in the HOF, Shannon Sharpe will be.

Great team. They weren't even favored to win. Green Bay was going to walk all over them...:right:

IMHO, they had a better team the year before. Statistically speaking...

My favorite NFL Championship team was the 1988 San Francisco 49ers. They finished the season 10-6 and weren't even considered to get to the Super Bowl...:)

Dallas Stars win the 1999 Stanley Cup in a thriller; Hull beats Hasek In Triple Overtime; Stars 2, Sabres 1 in game 6. The goal by Hull created Nogoal.com which I thoroughly enjoyed pestering the Sabre fans.

I still have this hat and wear it proudly.

All of my favorite teams never won a championship. A few of them didn't even make the playoffs. I think had the 1993 Giants made the playoffs, maybe them...or the '87 Giants.

Of course Super Bowl XXXI, when the Pack returned to the top.

Although the 1984 World Champion Detroit Tigers were also a good memory!

The 1992 Toronto Blue Jays. Only better than the 1993 version because it was the Jays' 1st World Series title and they beat those nasty Braves.

1990 Reds. My last year living in Cincinnati made the prior five years of watching Reds games worthwhile. A good blueprint for a team for Lou Piniella = three closers at the back of the bullpen with power and decent starting pitching. Better score in the first six, since no runs will come in the seventh thru ninth. Starters were effective since they weren't expected to go more than seven innings. Nobody had a great statistical year (except a career year for Chris Sabo - lining doubles and HRs down the 3rd base line) but a lot of players had solid years. Good balance of speed (6 starters with 10 or more swiped bases), hitting (many players .275 and above), and with some power.

They were my team before Colorado had a major league team (although you could argue we still don't, but I digress) and George Brett was my favorite player.

For me, there are two choices...the 1993-94 Houston Rockets, or the 1994-95 Houston Rockets. If I have to choose, I guess I'll go with the former, mainly because it was the first so it was a little sweeter. And beating the Knicks in seven games was pretty cool.

I'll never forget NBC interrupting Game 5 of the Finals with O.J. Simpson and the white Bronco. I was only 10 at the time, so I didn't really know what was going on...I was just pissed off because they interrupted the game!
