You're asking me, a Clippers fan, to talk about dynasties? Okay, I consider three consecutive championships are enough to merit the title of "dynasty." By that definition, the all-time greatest dynasty is the North Carolina Tar Heels women's soccer team. Yes, "Tar Heels" is a dumb name -- but they won nine consecutive NCAA championships, 1986-1994, and 15 consecutive ACC championships, 1989-2003. Second greatest dynasty: the Boston Celtics, with eight consecutive NBA titles, 1959-1966. Third: the Montreal Canadiens, with five consecutive Stanley Cups, 1956-1960, and four more consecutive, 1976-79.

As for the Clippers, they're a "never-get-past-the-second-round-of-playoffs" dynasty.

Even the Islanders have a dynasty. Who says the Clippers can't?

I would consider calling a sports franchise a dynasty if they are dominating the championships over a substantial era of years, such as a decade or more. I mean, that's why they call it a dynasty, because it resembles the ancient practice of ruling by dynasty.

I think the Cleveland Browns is a dynasty team. They haven't made the playoffs in 16 seasons and they were undefeated for at least couple of years without winning a game.
