I noticed some channels show xL behind them?

Is this to indicate they used to be on XM?

I thought maybe it meant (explicit langauge) but I have heard cussing on Octane, and its not labeled with an xL

The xL was something that XM used to indicate that "Explicit language may be heard on this station."

I -think- it means that "more than an average amount" may be heard, though. That's why you'll only see it on the Virus, the rap channels and the rock channels.

Octane started out as a Sirius channel. Since they never used any indications (do people really need that? Hello idiots, it's uncensored radio) the xL never was on Octane.
