Stay home order starts tomorrow here also. Grocery stores, banks, health services, gas stations, essential services, and restaurant deliveries and to-go orders are allowed.

I am wondering how that is different. That is what Ohio issued last week I thought.

Ohio recommended that people stay home as much as possible. It's official now. Like Aaron said, it's essential people, and essential reasons to leave your house like going to the Dr's or to get food.

In Ohio, construction workers are considered essential, so by proxy, I might fall into that category since contractors need us to supply them with information. Time will tell.

In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has warned that up to 80% of the state's population could get the coronavirus and the "stay at home" order could last for as long as nine months. Yikes! And gatherings of "two or more people" are now banned in Germany. Das ist wirklich verrückt!

I live in Broward.

Broward County has 180 confirmed cases, up from 164 cases on Saturday. According to health officials, 41% of the cases in the county are travel-related.

With those beach parties, I expect the cases in FL to explode in a couple weeks.

Yup, most of those kids go home to spread it to whatever college they go to.

While 180 cases in one county is scary, the population of Broward is 1.9 million so statically it's really not that bad.

Once again...like I talked about in depth a few days ago...the possibility of 20% unemployment scares me way more than the virus.

This may have already been posted but this scares me way more than the virus.

24% was The Great Depression rate.

I have enough saved to last like 10 months with cutting back and no income coming in. That's assuming there is no major run on the banks, I hope the FDIC would do what it was put there to do if that happened again. I have little confidence.

Not at all joking that this really scares me.

I bought hurricane supplies, I have a cupboard full of canned goods. I made sure to get some canned fruit too, to offset all the gross pasta and soup.

I doubt I will need it during all this but it's good to have. And it will stay good well through actual hurricane season.

Cool dashboard. Is that the BMW C-19?
I've been wondering if they have started the "Curve" chart that we're supposed to be trying to flatten.

I also bought a bunch of water...normal for hurricane preparedness but odd for this. Unless it gets so bad that the water management people die, we will still have tap water. During a hurricane it's very possible to lose water.

We know the struggle. I wasn't here for Andrew, I assume you were there for Katrina, shit can get real bad.

Yeah Katrina scared me so much, was fortunate my house was mostly fine when I came back, no flood here.

I'm like you, worried about the economy and what businesses may or may not ever return.

And wanting everyone to stay safe of course...

The economy will come back. It's a question of how long it'll take. People thought 911 was going to do it in, then the last recession, now this.

Sorry man. She told you by email at 4 am?

Is this just Covid related?

The unemployment money for people that get laid off due to the virus is supposed to be much easier and faster to get.

Good luck with it!
