Update to Sirius Internet Radio (SL2 and Sirius.com)

(I'm crossposting, and I do apologize, but it's HUGE news)

On my SL2.

No reboot, reset, reconfigure required!

Channel 810 -- Limited Engagements (Fireman Radio? Holiday stuff?)
811 - Sirius XM Sports Nation 2 (Sports talk shows and perhaps some play-by-play)
812 - Sirius XM Bootlegs (Music from the Sirius studios)
813 - Music Showcase (Tom Petty's shows and other similar stuff.)
814 - Comedy (Exclusive shows from Jamie Foxx, Jim Breuer, etc.)
815 - Talk (Barbara Walters, Bill Bradley, and more.)
816 - America Right
817 - America Left
818 - C-Span
819 - The Power (African-American talk)
820 - Public Radio Exchange (Public interest.)

ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes, HLN?, Book Radio, and several more have popped up.

So, it appears that some of the stuff is because of the merger. Some of it seems good though.

More channels to the Sirius Internet feature without an additional fee is news.

Add to the size of that news, if "limited engagements" means things like Fireman Radio, ABBA Radio, and Mandatory Metallica, if the bumper means what it implies.

Ah ha!

I can see it on my SL2, and at Sirius.com

:( for the people with SL100. Hopefully your stuff is coming soon. It should be at the bottom of the "all channels" list, as well as mixed in to the various categories.

Some of it seems required by the merger, but some of it seems very promising.

Still no Nascar channel for the net?

Negative on the NASCAR channel online.

Maybe some of that stuff will end up on 811. "Exclusive sports talk shows and select play-by-play."

If i'm Sirius, "select play-by-play" would WANT to mean Notre Dame football and basketball. I think that stuff IS going to be online, but putting it on 811 would free up the Catholic Channel for regular programming, either live or rebroadcast.

Or is this temporary with the promo they are doing? XM subs are getting BOS for free this week. I hope it is permanent. The more the better!!!

I didn't see the channels until I posted the threads, which was a long time after the Stern promo started.

Is it ALL BOS? I heard it was just 100 and 101, which was Howard's idea.

I have no reason to believe it's a temp thing.

Hopefully they'll kick Elvis, Grateful Dead, and E Street to the new channel.

There's stuff starting at 801.

803 is Bob Edwards, which you can get if you have BOXM. When I had BOXM this past winter, 803 never showed up on my SL2.

Yeah, as I said, these new channels (up in the 800's) don't require any reboot or reset. They just come in magically and automatically.
