This is a fine example of great radio programming that you can't get on your iPod or your Internet Radio. Nothing but great tunes and Petty adds a great atmosphere to the show. When Howard retires, this is exactly what Sirius XM should be focusing on. They should save themselves those hundreds of million per year and create more artist-hosted programs on their respective channels and dump the single-artist channels altogether and use this as the alternative. Then they can use that extra bandwidth to diversify the content on satellite radio to appeal to most (if not all) tastes. All of this equals more subscribers and substantially reduces their debt. Tom Petty's Buried Treasure airs at 11:00 AM ET on Mondays, 8:00 PM ET on Thursdays, 4:00 AM ET on Saturdays, and 2:00 PM ET on Sundays on Deep Tracks [SIRIUS 16 - XM 40]. Check it out tomorrow at 11 AM (west), 2 PM (east) and let me know what you think.
