I have one of those devices in my car. I bought it about a year ago from TSS.

I thought it would be a good idea to be able to shove it inside a little compartment when I wasn't using it. Of course, now I need to bend the wire in a certain fashion so the audio comes through both speakers.

Is there an easy way to replace the faulty part or do I need to buy a new gizmo and pull the entire console?

Would you be able to post a link to the device or at least a picture?

The end with the on/off switch, somehow the guy took a 1/8" cable and duct-taped it to the switch.

So yeah, I guess I could undo that tape...but in order to do much more, I might have to go back into the console. Would the 1'8" cable plug into the silver ports on the device? I'm thinking I need a new 1/8" cable which would have to be a professional job.
