I'm a big fan of horror movies, and this thread was inspired by some of WolfViper's recent posts and the time of the season.. What are your best, scariest, horror movies? Did any particularly affect you?! There's some really good foreign horror movies too, if you don't speak the language and don't mind subtitles. Oren
The recent Indiana Jones film was pretty scary. Just kidding. Not a huge fan of horror flicks, but I've always liked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, especially the original...maybe b/c I'm from Texas and I've driven through some areas that make you wonder...
My favorites: I Saw You Last Summer Scream Pitch Black Motel Hell Night of the Living Dead and the Friday the 13th movie when Jason was on the starship in the future I like the old 1930's and 40's Universal Horror films
The Exorcist freaked me out the most. The first A Nightmare on Elm Street was just a great scary movie. The Lost Boys is my favorite vampire movie. The Ring was pretty good for a more recent movie.
Just about everything Rob Zombie's done is pretty good. I saw "The Shining" tonight as part of a horror movie marathon at the Wealthy here in GR. It's even scarier at the theatre, complete with surround sound and a crystal-clear picture. Not to mention the fact that it was off a DVD. Michael Moore's movies - to an extent - can be called horror movies. :Smiley_wink:
I agree. To me it was real acting without all the gore and screaming. In fact I watched Son of Frankenstein yesterday for about the millionth time and was still amazed at how much the actors put into the characters.
Has anyone seen Quarantine? Robin was discussing this on the Stern show a couple weeks ago. She called it "amazing". I don't know why she and Richard kept calling it "Quarantine" though. She saw the original Spanish version, which is called "REC". The American/English remake of REC is Quarantine. Oren
Thanks Oren The scariest movie I have ever seen is: The Scary Movie series j/k I like horror films as well, but some of the new horror films that are coming out now. I really don't bother watching them to me half of them are a waste of money. So here a list of some of my favorite Horror films in particular order: I Know What You Did Last Summer Poltergeist Scream Saw Hannibal Lecter series The Blob some of Freddy and Jason movies some of the classic horror films and whatever I can't think of right now
