Hmm, maybe someone makes a plugin for this. will explore it in a bit. I don't think we support Twitter natively in the existing framework.

Looks like there's a plugin I can install that will add a bunch of sites we don't already support as embeds... Will work on that in a bit after this mess.

I could be doing it wrong but when I try to copy stuff from twitter it winds up looking like this:

Heat Street‏Verified account @heatstreet 15m15 minutes ago
He says he loaded every gun in his house, and 'prayed like I never prayed before.'

But then check out how tweet embeds look in this link:

Celebrities React To Bill Cosby Mistrial With Total Indignation | HuffPost

It's seems cleaner when they are in their own little box like that.

I still don't know how you to those Twitter posts

Another bonus of the upgrade: In my Chrome browser the DRC fav icon has been the Starbucks logo for the past year or so ever since I logged in using my computer at a Starbucks. It's now finally changed to a proper DRC logo.

And the video works like a charm! Seems DRC is perfect for posting any twitter content now!

The plugin I installed supports a bunch of sites including Twitter. I could've probably just made some hooks for Twitter in the BBCode Media section of the backend, but the plugin was easier and seems readily supported.

Google is apparently heavy about ranking SSL sites higher than non-SSL, so I wanted to get that all fixed in some manner but also improve the speed of the site.

Productive weekend anyway. I did actually get some work done for my regular gig in the Broadband industry as well.
