After months of rumors it has finally been announced:

Nintendo Announces Super NES Classic Edition

They say that they will have many more in stock this time around but only for 2017. Good that they are being upfront about the production run right from the start. Hopefully the controller cords will be much longer this time. At $80 that works out to about $3.80 per game which is a good price for old emulations and that price also includes the hardware so even better.

I will be tempted to get this but who knows. With all the free emulation options out there it's hard to justify but it looks so freaking cool. Hopefully in 2018 we will get an N64 mini.

It's a pretty stellar games lineup. Plus Starfox 2 which has never been released because they initially didn't finish it in order to work on Starfox 64.

I didn't wind up getting an SNES mini but my son was gifted one.

I learned that Contra is a mother fucker!! Oh, and I still rock at Street Fighter 2.

Whatever else I recall having years ago.

But right now, I'm playing the hell out of my NES Classic.

I bought one of those when they first came out. I think I played it 30 minutes. Haven't thought about it since.

I have my original SNES, PlayStation, Dreamcast and N64.

That is really cool!

I've thought about buying both a N64 and a Dreamcast but so far I have always talked myself out of it. I have pretty much every single NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, MS and GG game on one of my 2 dedicated emulation devices. On top of that I spend WAY too much money on Switch games. It would be cool to have original hardware but for now I'm focused on growing my Switch library.

On the way home from work. I stop by Best Buy and just picked up a SNES Classic.

In the future, I still want to buy the orginal consules of the NES, SNES and N64.
