Basically it is stuff that was played on Christopher the Minister's show Dark Wave before he left Sirius XM.

Sweet!
I'll give it a spin!
Never enough darkwave on 22 for my liking.
and i dont have to listen to the minister ramble on about how he knows all the cool music artists.

back in 85 my parents called Bauhaus and the rest "mope rock":p

Wow, I'm digging this station. A LOT. There's been a few WTF moments here and there (one song sounded almost as if it was rap) but nothing that a quick mash of the ban button won't take care of. I never listened to this "Dark Wave" show on Sirius, but if this station is anything like it I would have listened to it. It's earned a place on my G2 (the first of the SS stations to have done so) and a 4.5/5.

Dark Wave is/was a great show on Sirius. I haven't listened as much in the last month or so however. Dark Wave was the reason I went and added an XM sub. a couple years ago because I heard Fred on 44 played a lot of 'deeper' songs and I loved it. Then Sirius/XM killed Fred and I had to come to slacker and create my own Fred on 44 station called "The Fred Essentials"

And that may be spotlighted in the future so stay tuned. Anyhow back on subject this station is a perfect tribute to dark wave and it gets my 5 star approval.

4 0ut of 5..

Good mix but, not really dark enough for me.

'course Ive been listening to this kind of music since 84, so im looking for DEEP play lists.

x? alice and chains? great bands, just not 'darkwave' material to me.

...hearing "In the Flat Field " helped...

A gut pull drag on me
Into the chasm gaping we
Mirrors multy reflecting this
Between spunk stained sheet
And odourous whim
Calmer eye- flick- shudder- within
Assist me to walk away in sin
Where is the string that Theseus laid
Find me out this labyrinth place

I do get bored, I get bored
In the flat field
I get bored, I do get bored
In the flat field

Yin and Yang lumber punch
Go taste a tart then eat my lunch
And force my slender thin and lean
In this solemn place of fill wetting dreams
Of black matted lace of pregnant cows
As life maps out onto my brow
The card is lowered in index turn
Into my filing cabinet hemispheres spurn
...
Let me catch the slit of light
For a maiden's sake
On a maiden flight
In the flat field I do get bored
Replace with Picadilly whores
In my yearn for some cerebral fix
Transfer me to that solid plain
Moulding shapes no shame to waste
Moulding shapes no shame to waste
And drag me there with deafening haste

This has been a very pleasant surprise and I have enjoyed it. I've added it to my favorites, though it didn't make it to my G2, I can listen via my iPod Touch whenever I want too.

Eric did a good job with this station.
