That's a damn sweet set up, Rich. Oh, and I'm not sure if you've been to the Northwest before, but I went fishing on Spirit Lake last week and we were pulling 30-40 lb RAINBOW TROUT! It's a protected lake and we could only fish by forestry permit, but them's some big g'damn trout.

Yes, it shows up now. I like the setup on your boat, very clean.

Thanks to Tom Taylor.....he hooked me up with the clean look antenna. It looks just like my Lowrance GPS antenna:

Very nice. How about a full shot of your boat? I'm not sure why but I have a thing for bass boats. Some of my youngest memories are of me curled up on the carpet of my father's bass boat, in the hot sun. Just seeing that picture with the carpet brought them back.

I picked up a little low mileage, Ford Escort (36 MPG) when the price of gas got sky high. I live way out in the country and have to drive long distances to get anywhere.. Using my 16 MPG truck for common errands was killing me.

I used the little ball mount that came with my Stratus.. Why they don't include this mount with other radios is beyond me. It's the handiest thing there is. This mount fastens with two sided tape and has a ball head that allows the radio to swivel.

The 1997 to 2002 Escorts have a little storage shelf under the factory radio. I stuck the ball mount there using the included 2 sided tape:

Then I stuck the antenna in the window with another piece of 2 sided tape.. (This is my favorite antenna mounting spot) For some reason this works great for me.. No dropouts :) :

Here's the Starmate 3 in position: (I use the FMDA25 adapter to connect the Starmate to my factory car radio).

jwt873, how is your reception with that antenna inside your vehicle on the dash like that? I tried that in my company van, but the drop-outs drove me nuts.

The reception is perfect.. I have the same setup in my truck and on another car I own. For some reason this just doesn't work for everybody.. I have no idea why. FWIW, I'm in the midwest and have no nearby repeaters.

Here's the antenna in the truck.. I never even bothered to switch out my old Audiovox antenna for the microdot antenna that came with the mounting kit.

Here is Mine

Here is a pic of my new "Man Cave." To put in in perspective the front doors are 11 feet high. I have 4 floors of fun. I think it's bigger than my house.

I had to join the fun so I took some pics of my car setup and home setup. In the car I have an Alpine Navigation Headunit with the Alpine SIRIUS Traffic Tuner.

I have the SIRIUS Travel Link Service setup. Here is the link http://www.sirius.com/travellink It provides SIRIUS audio plus information like Gas Prices, Traffic, Weather, Construction Updates and Movie Information. On OEM Fords with the new systems it can also provide Sports Scores. It costs an extra $6.99 per month.

I can check weather from my city or other cities in North America.

Here is where it shows what freeways have traffic and if there is accidents or construction.

Here is the destinations page.

Here's where I check to see for the cheapest gas. Saves me money!

The Alpine Navigation brain also provides ZAGAT info for North America.

Alpine10.jpg

It provides up to date movie listings and a synopsis of the movie. On a lot of theaters
it will give the showtimes too.

I have the antenna inside the windshield. Never get dropouts in the city and rarely outside the city. I've had a million different antenna setups like the painted antenna and the sigma antenna.

Here is the Stiletto 2 at home with the Polk Docking Station and Home Kit in the background. I use both and have another Home Kit at work.

Wow Taylor I have wanted to check out your setup for awhile. Thanks for the pictures. That is certainly a nice setup, I like it.

I didn't realize that Polk Dock was so small. Are those things still being sold? I've never seen one in stores.
