Exactly.

The fact they Rush wasn't in within the first couple of years that they were eligible is proof that they don't really care about rock and roll.

The bands that still aren't in is pathetic.
I agree, finally Bon Jovi was nominated to be in the hall of fame last year.

For now the R&RHOF is dead to me as well, until Nickelback, Ricky Astley, Duran Duran and Wham is in it.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2019 nominees announced - CNN
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2019 nominees are ...
It's the first time Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks and Todd Rundgren have made the list.
Rapper LL Cool J and the group Kraftwerk have made the list four times before.
Other nominees this year are Janet Jackson, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, The Cure and The Zombies.

WTF, none of the artists I mention gets nominated. The R&RHOF is still dead to me! ;)

Hey Hectic, we'll start our own Hall of Fame and have the museum in your house.

With the Mango Mussolini occupying the White House, I'm a little surprised Rage Against the Machine aren't back together. Are they feuding or something?

From That List
Rage Against the Machine
Todd Rundgren
The Zombies
The Cure
Def Leppard

Ok with:
  • Def Leppard
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Todd Rundgren
  • Radiohead

Devo had like 1 hit? Should we also nominate Dexy's Midnight Runners?

I like the Cure but I don't see them as having too many hits either.

LL Cool J and Janet Jackson are not Rock & Roll and should be excluded.

The others I have no opinion on (which defaults to out to me).

Pat Benatar remains out of the hall. Easier a better candidate to all but 2 or 3 of above artists (IMHO).

Devo were innovators. They shook things up really changed the way people thought about music. (A very rock and roll thing to do.) The number of hits on a chart don't mean that much to me.

Radiohead and Rage were innovators too, but there are bands that have been around a long time that should be in before them.

I love Devo, Roxy Music, Kraftwerk and MC5. I don't care if they are in or out of this hall of fame. Each of those bands opened up whole new areas of music.

On that list, I'm a fan of Def Leppard, Devo, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, The Cure and Janet Jackson. There might be one or two songs I like from Stevie Nicks and Chaka Khan.
