I liked Carolina Shag. It would be nice if they put it back on the radio this summer.

Seems to have disappeared off 4. Still advertising it as there but all that is there is some really bad music. Not road trip quality at all. Missed it on our return trip.

The Beach Boys Channel has taken the Ch 4 spot now. Good stuff for the weekend season

I enjoyed The Beach Boys channel. Heard some tunes I hadn't heard in 40 years.
Now Carolina Shag is on Channel 4. Another good summer channel.

I have to wonder what the logic is of having "Road Trip Radio" -- music to drive to -- available only via streaming. Going on a road trip next week and I would love if this channel was on the sats.

    scotchandcigar arrogant bastard

That does seem somewhat ironic. Wasn't it a satellite channel at one time?

    Channel98 Don't yell or hit.

Carolina Shag aired for a few weeks on channel 13 in 2017 and channel 4 in 2018. I wish SiriusXM would make it a full-time satellite channel. Here is a sample of the playlist, a seven-decade mix of pop, r&b, doo-wop, blues and beach music. Dashes denote non-charting singles. This list includes two different groups named The Entertainers: a quartet active in 1965-66 and a septet which formed in 1980 and is still performing. And one song is titled I Want My Fanny Brown. Hee-hee-hee, *snicker.*
