Does Replay AV support recording two Sirius channels at the same time? I can think of a couple of instances where my favorite shows overlap, and would love to be able to record both.
I'm curious to see how other Replay AV users will answer this. For me, the best answer I can give you is...sometimes.
I am a listener to two shows that are on at the same time...Howard Stern and Alex Bennett. When I first began using Replay AV, I always used the "splitting" feature which allows you to split each show into segments. I would set each segment for an hour. I found that one of the two shows would eventually stop recording and I wouldn't be able to hear both shows in their entirety. I then changed the settings to record each show as one single mp3 file per show. When I made that change, I would say 90% of the time I get to hear both shows with neither one getting cut off.
If you happen to be by the computer while recording you can also check to see if one show stops recording, and then just start it up again. But as I mentioned, this rarely happens now.
Not a perfect solution, but it usually seems to work. When it doesn't, I re-record Stern since the show is repeated throughout the day.
The problem of course is not Replay AV but Sirius has some technology which is supposed to log off one user if another user "logs in" with the same ID. Fortunately, the technology isn't 100% foolproof.
The biggest pain in the ass has been when the stream is down and Replay AV keeps trying to automatically log in to record the show you selected. After 10 failed log-ins you're shut out for the whole day. The stream has been good lately so this has not been a problem in the recent past but when it does I feel like driving to New York, going to Mel Karmizan's office and punching him in the face. (Just kidding. Sort of.)
