Does anyone get this? I'm thinking of subscribing, though the $300 price tag is a little steep. If you have gotten it in the past, do you feel the price is worth it?

Yes I got it, if you call and tell them that you want a deal many times they will work with you.

I have had it every year that they have offered it. They play the games without pause after they finish Sunday so you can watch a whole game in 30 minutes if you want.

Interesting, I'll have to try that. What kind of deal have you gotten in the past? Thanks for the reply TX WJ.

Tell Direct TV you are debating getting the package but the price seems to be holding you back and ask if they have any specials for first time subscribers etc.

Of course be courteous.

Good luck.

Thanks, I think I'll call them some evening this week when I have some free time. If I can haggle them down to $200 somehow, that would be PERFECT!

Even $250 would be manageable...

I've had it also and I love it. This will be the first year that I don't have it (I canceled DirecTV at the end of the season last year) and I'm sure I will miss it. It upset me (as a non-subscriber) that DirecTV extended their contract with the NFL until 2014. How knows, we may have a lockout in the 2011 season though.

DirecTV is doing a free preview of Sunday Ticket for Week 1. I'll get to see if it's worth the $$$

I failed to mention I have it also. I've had it for like 8 years running. I shell out the extra 99 for the Superfan so I get all the games in HD, and when I'm on the road I can watch the games online, and now on my iPhone too. Sweet. I love it.

So you have to pay extra on top of the $300 to get HD?

No, just to get all of them on HD. At least that is how it was two years ago.

There's also:

1) Game Mix, which allows you to watch up to 8 different games at the same time. There's also notifications of time, score, and quarter on your screen.

2) Red Zone TV, which flips around to interesting games at key moments.

Both of these are in HD and are only available to SuperFan subscribers.

The downfall is that 99% of the games are played either at 1 PM ET or 4 PM ET. IMO, the only reason to get Sunday Ticket is if your local team(s) suck like crazy (I live in Ohio...tell me about it.) or your favorite team is out-of-market.

At least with the other packages, there's games on most every night of the week.
