Looks like they are launching a new tagline/campaign alright. Their website has some stuff up.
Looks like they are putting some thought and energy behind this at least.
Also, when you first goto sirius.com it plays a video that is probably the same ad that will run on tv. Or similar. Features them all like Taylor said. All of them "changed" their industry, Music, Sports, Comedy, Radio, So Sirius is changing how you listen.
Hopefully it works.
The ads are running during the NFL games. Just saw the whole thing for the first time. Obviously this can't be one of the things bothering Howard. He's the only one alive in the ad that is on Sirius.
To me it looked like the Howard part was added later on. Or it was edited differently. The cuts from the Jordan, Elvis and Pryor were much longer and with Stern it almost looked odd that it was so much quicker.
Stern fans already know where to find him. I think they are trying to make sure people know there's more to sat then Howard.
It's a good strategy to quiet the 'Howard Stern and that's it' detractors. I'm not sure I'd count on this holiday season since spending is down overall. But it's nice to plan for the future when we're out of the recession.
